Interviews: Artwork For The Blind

We have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band Artwork For The Blind from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name is one of Coy's (our vocalist) plays on words. He loves tongue-in-cheek humor. Music is the artwork for the blind. We like to think our music paints a picture.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We're kinda what we call "Kitchen Sink Metal." Not that we're trying make another genre. But we come from so many different corners of Rock and Metal. And we bring all the to the practise room.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The founding members where in other bands together beforehand. Later on, the band befriended current guitarist Sol. E. Williams a year or so before tapping him to become a member.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Larry's would be Pink Lloyd, Coy's hard to say, anything 90's Florida Death Metal, Mike would be Fantomas, Sol.'s would be Napalm Death. Lol like I said, we're pretty diverse.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Movies, current things going in the world. Other music

6. Where was your last gig?

Metal Monday at the Highlands Taproom. We love that place!

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere... Take it to the moon and back.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Dang! That's a tough one. High on Fire, Bongripper, Doomriders, any of the big four of Thrash. We could fill the whole chalkboard with this one.

9. Whom not?

Anything overhyped

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?

Nah, I think we're all about this 100%. We live for it. Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? Couldn't say. Never happened. We've been pretty seasoned at this point.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Other than what we mentioned before. Current bands like All Pigs Must Die, Armed for Apocalypse, Napalm Death High on Fire, Converge, The Casualties

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If he could just live in our van and go with us.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They probably like the reefer.

14. What do you think of our site?

I mean... It's and stuff. Do you guys know Joe Rogan?
