Interviews: SINSATION

We have had the opportunity to interview the Vampiric Metal band SINSATION from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of this song is in Sammys band called the DT‘s. He loved the name so much that he was inspired to carry it on to a new band and since we are vampires it’s perfect for the vampiric side of Sinsation.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It evolved into this style. We kind of played around with a few genres at first and it was more kind of rock but then we kind of turned into a vampiric metal band. Sleeping Death was our first song by the time we wrote the song Cursed we really developed our style.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Sammy has known Billy since they were wee little lads. Hannah and Austin have been together for 6 years prior to SINSATION. Mikey knew Billy and Sammy from bands and “other places” they can’t confirm or deny they belong or allegedly may be a part of.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Avatar, Killswitch Engage, Primus, ABBA, Plumeria, The Dtease, Disrupted Euphoria, Mastodon. Halestorm

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The good and evil of our world and beyond. The vulnerable, the powerful, the superhuman, the misunderstood. The Misfits, and the masterful magicians. Things that excite and inspire, make us sick to her stomach‘s, or lift her spirits to realms unknown.

6. Where was your last gig?

Last night we played in Winnetka California. just outside of LA. After the show we filmed the final scene of our Children of the Night video with some of the kids from the show in the alley and it turned out so incredible. The lighting was perfect and they represented the video concept perfectly.

7. Where would you like to act?

The LA Forum. Red Rocks Amphitheater. Santa Barbara Bowl.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Cradle of Filth, Devon Townsend, Muse,

9. Whom not?

Pretty much just Blood on the Dance Floors.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think we all have on different levels. I would say to embrace the moment and to keep doing it. Repetition is key.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Snot, Black List, Lagwagon, Double Cobra Our hometown Santa Barbara and Southern California friends.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Someone wanted to do a tattoo interview with Hannah, that was kind of odd. Our superfan tattooed our band name on him. Also, lots of our fans want to be bitten by us. Because…..It was just a bite.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are absolutely incredible! We love, love, love each and every one of you! All two of you!! Haha JK
