Interviews: LE TUNNEL DE L'ENFER

This is a new interview with the Hardcore band LE TUNNEL DE L'ENFER from France. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

We found the name of the band quite easily. We wanted to pay homage to the movie Daylight by Rob Cohen and we found out that the movie was released in Quebec under the name "Le Tunnel de L'enfer" which can be translated as The Tunnel Of Hell. We found this name funny!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It is always difficult to explain why we like or dislike something. But let's say there are 4 of us in the band with influences ranging from punk-rock to grind, fast-punk seems to be the genre that brings us all together because we can incorporate different references.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Three of us have had several groups together over the past 6 years, so we know each other very well!

4. Each band member's favorite band?

It's always hard to tell! Tough question! But if we have to make a choice, here are our 4 favorite bands: Suicidal Tendencies, NOFX, Strung Out and Against Me! 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The stupid movies we saw as kids! That's the core of our inspiration and discussions. Our lyrics, our current EP and our upcoming EP are centered around movies.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't done a gig yet. First of all because the singer and the drummer have a band (Gummo.) which takes a lot of their time. Then because we don't have enough songs to play live yet. We are now concentrating on the composition and recording of another EP.

7. Where would you like to act?

In a place with clean restrooms and free drinks.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Without any hesitation Toto and Bon Jovi!

9. Who not?

Anyone who has not seen Bloodsport.

10. Have Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Nothing is more normal than being afraid before performing in front of an audience. It's important to play it down by talking about it or doing breathing exercises!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Limp Wrist, Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, NOFX, Jodie Faster, GLOSS, Magrudergrind, Coke Bust, Career Suicide.

12. What do you think of your fans?

To think anything of it, you have to have it, which is not our case!
