Interviews: Loss

This is a new interview with the Stoner Rock band Loss from Brazil. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

Loss is my family name but we use it cause we think it sounds good and its meaning in English let people reflect on losses.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We just play the music we like. It´s something natural for us. We grew up listening to the classics and now that sound comes naturally from the band.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The drummer Teddy was with me in my old band for 15 years and Adriano was introduced to us by a musician friend.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Marcelo - Black Sabbath

Adriano - Jimi Hendrix

Teddy - Slayer

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

As I said we are inspired by the classics and our lyrics focus on social issues and things that let people to reflections.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last gig was at our city Belo Horizonte - Brazil

7. Where would you like to act?

We want to play at each place there is a metal lover and people who want to hear us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

An opening act of our heroes like Black Sabbath or Deep Purple would be amazing.

9. Whom not?

We are democratic guys and we love to discover new sounds and bands. So we don’t have this kind of problem. If you do music you’re welcome!

10. Have Any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

For me, all show is a challenge and a new experience so it’s natural to feel a little apprehensive. But after the first song it passes. If you believe in your song you don’t have any reasons to feel afraid.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Black Sabbath, Rush, Hendrix, Beatles, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and several other bands.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Fans usually ask for picks, drumsticks, and the like, but it's happened that one wants my shirt and insists despite saying I wouldn't have another one to leave.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We just love them. They are the most important reason we do what we do.

14. What do you think of our site?

I liked it very much. It has a nice look and a lot of content.
