Abandoned World - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans! Here we bring you another interview. In this case to the  Deathcore / Metalcore band Abandoned World, from Sweden. They are epic so nothing more to say than enjoy the interview and like their FACEBOOK PAGE!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

The band name was just a project name in the beginning. But when we started to think about it: the name is so simple that no band has taken it, so we decided to take it

2: Why did you decided to play this genre?

We don't aim for a certain genre. We just write songs we think is heavy and hopefully makes people go crazy!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Only our lead guitarist and our former vocalist knew each other in the beginning. The rest of us just tagged on along the way.

4. Each band member favorite band? 

To mention a few: Born of Osiris, As I Lay Dying, Slipknot, Faceless, Suicide Silence and Pantera.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

We get our inspirations from different sources. Taboo topics, historical themes but also events of today.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last gig was at a little pub/restaurant called KGB in Stockholm.  It was just a funny event that we took so we could have some free beer and get new fans!  it was small and had no stage but we delivered one hell of a show!

7. Where would you like to act? 

Our goal at the moment is to be able to perform on the Wacken festival, yeah it's a long shot but you need something that drives you forward!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We all have our "dream acts" in the band. But the more common acts would definitely be As I Lay Dying or Suicide Silence.

9. Whom not?

We can play alongside whoever/whatever artist in the world no matter of genre or personality! The goal is to introduce our music to the masses. But are we have to choose... fuck Bieber!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? 

In our opinion we think there is 2 kinds of stage frights: the one when you are nervous because you are so stoked and the one when you really is scared shitless because you are afraid of the crowd, that you are going to fail some how or whatever. The key is to be a little bit nervous when you are going to perform! That makes the adrenalin flow and will make you focus extra on what you are about to do. You can also think of the performers as a rehearsal but with a crowd, but in the end: Experience will be the biggest help to get rid of stage fright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

We all have our "heroes" when we were introduced to metal. But we would like to say that every artist/band we like to listen to is a great source of inspiration!  We are just trying to make our own thing of what we get inspired of.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

The weirdest thing must have been a fan/fans in Bangladesh who wanted us to give them guitar/bass lessons in the middle of the night when we had a show there! It was totally awesome because they are your friends/fans and that makes you wanna do anything you can for them! A band is nothing without there fans!!! So ofcourse did we have a brutal jam in the middle of the night with these crazy metalheads from Bangladesh!

13. What do you think of your fans? 

We are NOTHING without are fans! As I told you before: a band is nothing without there fans! We are greatfull for every single fan we got and those that writes to us and tells us what the think of us. If there wasn't for them we wouldn't be were we are today!

14. What do you think of our site? 

As a band we think the site is awesome because of the work you are putting down so you can tell the world about us and other hard working bands! We thank you from the deepest core of our hearts for doing this for us and other artists!
