Abstract - Interview - Breathing The Core

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore band Abstract from France. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We looked for several names and picked one which was okay for everyone. Jordane (vocals): I found this name when I was at my university and in the blackboard I saw wrote the word ABSTRACT. So I found that was nice for a band name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We choose this genre because we love listening to it, playing and composing it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Lois knew Gab before because they intended to make a metal band, and otherwise for Jo and Sam it was on internet.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jordane (vocals): Parkway Drive, Erra and many others…
Lois (Guitar and Choirs): August Burns Red, For Today and Parkway Drive.
Gabriel (Guitar): Memphis May Fire
Samuel (Drum): Deep Purple

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life, problems in the world.

6. Where was your last gig?

Jordane: It was at my high school two years ago.
Lois: It was at my high school
Gabriel: It was few months later, I helped my brother and his band. And they asked me to play few songs with them.
Samuel: It was 8 months earlier.

7. Where would you like to act?

Jordane: In France and everywhere in the world
Lois: Some good places like the RockStore in Montpellier or le Bataclan in Paris.
Gabriel: Principally in my region (Montpellier, Nimes and Avignon) and later in the world, I hope.
Samuel: I would like to play on the international orbital station. A gig in space, that'd be unbelievable.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would like to make a feature with Winston McCall, Matty Mullins, the singer of Dagoba, Marilyn Manson or Bastien or Mehdi from Our Theory (frenchband) or Kevin from Alaska (French band)

9. Whom not?

Jordane: Justin Bieber
Lois: Mitch Lucker
Gabriel: Justin Bieber or One Direction
Samuel: No opposition as long as it's Metal, Rock or Hard-Rock.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes, we suffered of fright before a live. Our tips are: control your breath, empty your spirit, don't let intimidate you and think at one thing, think music and make yourself pleasure when you play and you just have to concentrate on what you are doing and don't think about the others.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Jordane and Gabriel: Breakdown Of Sanity, Born Of Osiris, Erra, Memphis May Fire… and Samuel and Lois: Deep Purple, Rammstein, ACDC, Trivium…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Give a blow on a final Crash... With the head and "Can I touch your hair ?"

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans are why bands play music. When a band earns fans, that means that band has reached its goal. Fans are everything to me, more important than anything else.

14. What do you think of our site?

Its really good!! It’s awesome to see that some people are helping the Core to be known. And is so cool to live this experience. Thank you a lot and good continuation for the future.
