As The World Weeps - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Melodic Hardcore/Metalcore band As The World Weeps from USA. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?      

Andrew: It used to be a song title we had when we were called "Ancient Of Days". We decided to change it and we've stuck with it ever since haha.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?   

Ibrahim: We wanted to play this genre because its an emerging sound and it allows us to explore all of our influences in a coherent package.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Andrew: Some of us have been friends for many many years now. We've had a lot of lineup changes over the past few years. Lucas is the newest member of the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?   

Andrew: Between the Buried and Me and Dream Theater.
Ibrahim: The Dillinger Escape Plan, BtBAM, The Contortionist, and AAL.
Lucas: Tool and Tesseract. Kevin: Fallujah.
Danny: Honestly, As Hell Retreats is one of my favorite bands. Volition is sick.
My influences are mostly hip hop. All types of music really motivates me.. It's a mood thing i guess.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  


Andrew: All of us listen to a lot of different genres besides metal. Music is such a beautiful thing. Why not take everything you like and mix it together?

6. Where was your last gig?   

Andrew: In West Palm Beach at Respectables opening for Abiotic.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Andrew: We would love to tour the world and play at every awesome bar, venue, stadium, house, and backyard that exists haha.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Andrew: We wanna play with any sick band we could share the stage with. We wanna play with everyone really haha.

9. Whom not?   

Andrew: I dont think there's anyone we wouldn't wanna play with. Sharing (the stage) is caring!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Lucas: Yes, but my high school jazz band director told me to never took to people if i'm afraid. Because if they see the fear in your eyes they'll know you failed. So he told me to just look straight on top of people's head. Helped a lot.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Andrew: All our favorite bands and artists mostly. Everything we mentioned in the influences part for sure.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?   

Andrew: So far nothing yet, but we're hoping that changes soon haha.

13. What do you think of your fans?  


Andrew: We are very humbled by the response we've received from fans at shows as well as fellow bands. We love you all!

14. What do you think of our site?   

Andrew: You guys have an awesome thing going and you clearly care about up and coming bands. Us younger bands appreciate all the help we can get. I think the best part is the fact that you guys are trying to reach everyone in the world. That's a daunting task but a very admirable one. Thank you for choosing us!
