Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metal/lHardcore  band Fragments from Chile. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of the band came in 2011 and actually took some time to define it, we wanted something shocking and something that identified us as a group or a connection of ideas. We think our name Fragments represents us in all our performance as creators and composers of the music we make .

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

The genre always struck us; breakdowns, singalongs, etc. Are part of the taste we have in common as members, but also wanted to find a more true identity, and this cd that will come has some melodic side that we want to rescue, as our musical beginnings we were close to Post-Hardcore. Anyway we are very different in terms of taste, the cd has some Post -Rock an we wanted to show it, but in the end it's a pretty diverse and nice mix .

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some of the band members have known each other over 10 years ago through some projects that was the beginning to reach what is Fragments right now. We are a group of close friends and always share as a family. This is an important point for the union we have as a band. We think if a band doesn't have friendship and positive values,  not much quality can be achieved and your music does not have the sincerity and patience which is very perceptible in some bands.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Line-up:

Waldo ( Guitar) : Deftones
Diego ( Guitar) : The Beatles
Ludwig ( Bass): Bob Marley
Felipe (Vocals) : Faith No More
Fernando (Drums) : Glassjaw

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well our album mainly speaks about the Resilience, is a concept that is deeply rooted in the drive so it is named. Resilience is the act of being able to get ahead and to get up from troubles that life brings to us, it is a force that makes us aware and that learning to get ahead is whether our history as a band, "the story of never giving up on our project" is mainly the concept of the album .

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last big gig was in Valparaiso city, Revolution Fest  we played with bands like Aneurisma, All Tomorrows and Ribo, it was an unforgettable debut of the complete line-up. Was an honor for us to share with those big bands, the reception of the people was amazing!

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to tour around the world, that's our dream, but nowaday our priority is to play many shows in Chile.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Currently the album is ready and comes with collaborations of some bands that are pretty important to us.  In "Condena de Vida"  we feature Max from Aneurisma, band that always give us their support. The other song is called "Sirena" with our great friend Mauro from a band called Caminos. Both bands are an important reference and shows us the sincerity as a band and type of Hardcore, but very different from ours is extremely effective and we never go out of style. Always is good to have friends in bands of good standard and why not have a collaboration with some Latin American band in the future we will think enough.

9. Whom not?

Actually we are not closed to have a featuring with someone.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

At this moment none of us have suffered from stage fright, but before play nerves are something that you must learn to control it. That only gives you the confidence to play  in your band and work together. because having the security that gives you the band Connection as you can stand anywhere with all the courage and energy, otherwise it is more vulnerable to having stage fright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are many bands that have inspired us, but we have never focused on one 'cause there is a lot of good material in terms of bands and different styles which can be rescued varied influences.we l feel the Metal and Hardcore an influence for our work and also other styles like Rock and Post Rock, the thing  is to do  it well and  make it personal not into copies.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A fan once asked us to play at his birthday, it was weird ... but funny at the same time.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The people who follow us are the most important to us, really we never made money doing this, we love play, found people happy to hear us, enjoying our song and work where we give all the passion and people and take recognition from them. They are the engine of this.

14. What do you think of our site?

We love the idea that there are sites to help us share our music and all this interviews to get to know further as a band ... as people.

15. Something to add?
