Kingdom Of Giants - Interview

 

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore  band Kingdom Of Giants from California (USA). We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We started as a band called Hello, Sailor. But when we decided to get serious, add Dana to the band, and release our 1st EP we decided it was time for a change. At one of our shows we asked one of our friends how the set went, and he said, "You guys look like giants up there lol" so we figured a "kingdom" of giants was pretty appropriate.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

This is the music we grew up on. It is some much more passionate and real than most of the other genre's out there. We feel like it speaks to you in a way that most other music cannot. And yea there are a lot of generic bands out there these days, but when you find a certain band that is doing it right, for example Underoath, As I Lay Dying, or Architects, the creativity is untouchable.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

A few of the band members, (Max, Red, and Levi) all went to highschool together and were the founding members of Hello, Sailor, which turned into KOG when we added Dana as our singer. Our drummer Matt played for us on one of our first tours, and we are happy to have him as our official drummer for over a year now. We haver also brought our boy Julian in to start playing guitar for us as well, but not many people really know that yet

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Dana - Architects.
Max - Architects.
Levi - As I Lay Dying.
Matt - Braindrill.
Red - Misery Signals.
Julian - After The Burial  .

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We all inspire each other to write songs. Other bands putting out amazing music inspires us. LIfe inspires us.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last gig was at Ace Of Spades in Sacramento. We got to open for For Toay's CD release tour with SFTP, FFAK, LMTF, and TPIN. It was insane lol.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We would love to take our music to another country. Oversea's. Maybe Australia in particular.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

ARCHITECTS.

9. Whom not?  

Blood on the dance floor.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? 

I think it's something that everyone kinda struggles with initially but our best advice is to just keep playing shows and it will go away. We would rather play in front of 1000 kids than 10, to us a small show is way more intimidating.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Architects.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Umm no one has really asked us for anything "weird" I mean we definitely have had a couple strange encounters and handshakes and all that but any weird things are kind of humbling and charming.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Omg are fans are incredible. The things they do for us to keep us alive are insane. There is nothing we appreciate more in this world. Every band loves their fans, if you don't then you're a dick and you deserve to be punched by a big dude.

14. What do you think of our site?
