Miles Of Grace - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore band Miles Of Grace from France. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Axel: At the beginning, Miles of Grace was just a name for my solo project. But when I’ve decided to create a band we have kept this name due to his great sonority.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Jeff: I guess we all have been drowned in metal and hardcore music since we were kids. For me, metal screams are the best way to transfer all the emotions you can put into your texts.

Axel: We consider ourselves has a metalcore band but we have a lot of inspirations from the modern metal, post-rock, hardcore and a lot of other genre!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Axel: I know Florent and Maxime since a lot of years but we’ve found Jeff on a musician website and now here we are.

Florent: I know Axel since a lot of years and Maxime just before the band was created.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Jeff: Norma Jean, Misery Signals

Maxime: In Hearts Wak, Counterparts

Axel: Heart in Hand, Architects Florent: Iron Maiden, Machine Head, All Shall Perish, and many other.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Jeff: Usually, my own history. We all got something to say, the trick is to filter what you want you tell. Otherwise, I just pick up stuff around me that inspires me a little.

Maxime: For the bass parts, it all depends of my mood and what kind of emotion I want to give in the song.

Florent: All bands I’m listening

6. Where was your last gig? 

Axel: Our last gig was for a metal festival at Etrechy in October and after that we’ve decided to don’t make more show to work on our next EP.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Axel: I would like to play in Australia! Bands from there are just amazing and I must admit that I would love to travel a little bit in this country.

Florent: Australia (because they are fucking beasts), US and UK

Maxime: Like Florent said, I would like to play in the UK first.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Jeff: We are preparing a nice feat with a famous French band singer. More information soon

Axel: Sam Carter from Architects, it would be sick! But in fact, our French featuring gonna be insane!

Florent: A lot of ! But, if I have to choose one, I would say Hermida because he is a fucking beast

9. Whom not? 

Jeff: Vladimir Poutine

Axel: Dahvie Vanity from Blood on the Dance Floor, I can’t stand this band.

Florent: Frankie Palmeri, I love Emmure, but I think he can’t bring a lot for our band.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Jeff: Just dive in. Stress is a driving force, you cannot just let it drown you. Otherwise you're screwed. When you manage to disregard the picture of yourself, you succeed.

Florent: Yes, just go to shit.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Jeff: Deftones, KoRn, Misery Signals Axel: For The Fallen Dreams, The Color Morale, Empires Fade

Florent: All the bands I know, because I think it’s important to have a lot of inspiration

Maxime: All bands I’ve listened during my youth like Rage Against the Machine or Incubus for bass parts.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Jeff: "Stop that fucking noise please."  Well, that wasn't really a fan.

Florent: We don’t really have “fans” just precious friends whom follow us

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Jeff: Awesome. We do music for ourselves and for fans. If there are no fans, we just do... half of music. Just Mu-.

Florent: As I say, we don’t have fans, but I love my friends

14. What do you think of our site? 

Axel: The metal scene really needs site like yours to promote bands all around the world. So, thank you for all your work on this site and keep on dude!

Florent:  I think it’s important to open mnds and discovers some new bands, and thanks to you, people can do that.
