Band Of Misfits - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metallic Hardcore solo project BAND OF MISFITS from South Africa. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Just played around with the ''Band Of'' part and eventually thought ''Misfits'' would really be a badass fitting haha.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I've always have been huge on writing in this tipe genre...don't know I guess I always just got drawn towards that vibe around it....really love that shit man.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well I always knew just me if that answers your question haha.I have taken it upon myself to do this whole solo project/one man metal band ...whether it be writing,recording,mixing,mastering..damn even logo's...I just love doing it.Never really had any reliable candidates who seemed dedicated and motivated enough to say ''Hey man let's f*#king make amazing tracks,-put in a lot of time- and push full on to be on the lips of a lot of metal fans everywhere...well at least TRY and come close''. Hopefully I can find equals like myself in the future and kick it in full throttle in getting BOM on the road??Yeah man.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Promethee,After The Burial,While She Sleeps,Attila and Disturbed are among my biggest influences  .

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I get soooo inspired by that ''envy imagination'' of playing in front of thousands ...damn tens of thousand of fans just loosing their shit to my music..... just got an idea for another track(..haha nah kidding).But in all seriousness I guess many musicians aim to get down in arenas or just a decent venue where people indulge in their music yeah? know all the lyrics?air guitaring riffs like mad people they are!!??..That's what I will always drive myself towards achieving.

6. Where was your last gig?

Never had a band to go and gig with.

7. Where would you like to act?

Mhm....Download Fest would be the pinnacle of my musical carreer and life man!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Promethee's Joshua Orsi.

9. Whom not?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Well either you have it or you don't...nah kidding...I don't know...start small in front of friends,then some friends of friends...then choose small shows and work your experience from there.

11. What bands have you inspired the most?

Question 4's answer through and through.Some others...mhm...maybe Memphis May Fire,Thy Art Is Murder,The Black Dahlia Murder,Miss May I,etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

''Please send me an early sample of your latest work''...which sometimes I don't normaly do,but if you're persistent enough...who knows ;)

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think the past few weeks,the attention and level of support I received is just surreal...I'm not really fond on using the word 'fan' too much.....to me it's pretty simple - if you spend time supporting me and always listen to what I have to offer,you're not a fan...you're more like family.

14. What do you think of our site?

I really think it's a rad site,from what I've seen so far,and will checking it out more often ;)

15. Something to add?

Yeah stay tuned for my second single ''Singularity'' which will feature a pretty rad guest vocalist.Oh working on YouTube channel to put up some covers -be it guitars,vocals..etc,which I think would give people more in depth look to who I am as musician :).So yeah...get stoked,and stay metal!
