Exiting The Fall - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore / Post-Hardcore  band Exiting The Fall from USA. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE  cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our band name actually comes from our old vocalist. He liked a girl whose screen name on AIM was exitthefall, which is based off of a falling up song. We were trying to figure out a name for the band, and hadn't come up with anything better, so we stuck with it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We play metal-core/ post-hardcore because we feel called to play it. It is a very powerful and passionate genre that allows us to be genuine and skillfully portray our beliefs, as well. It is also very energetic and fun to perform.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band had formed before with Myself (Matt) and our old vocalist (John) and Kevin, Filipe, and Jon joined the band about a year and a half after it's formation. Dj joined after a few member changes about a couple years later.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Some of our favorite bands collectively are Copeland, Underoath, As Cities Burn, August Burns Red, Noah Gunderson, 21 Pilots, John Mayer.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Ultimately, we write songs about Jesus. Most of the songs we write are about how far away we are from truly being perfect, but that is meant to exemplify how amazing the Grace of God is. We are inspired to write honest songs that give our audience a chance to be able to relate and feel accepted even though they are not perfect.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was at Anchors Up in Haverhill, MA with our good friends, Burdened Hearts, who were touring up from Maryland.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We want to play where our fans want us to play! We would love to one day be able to play over in Europe or Australia sometime.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We always thought it would be awesome to tour with August Burns Red or For Today. There are a number of other bands we would love to tour with... Pretty much all of them!

9. Whom not?  

I mean, we probably wouldn't want to tour with anyone who wasn't close to our genre. We would love to tour with bands that are mostly close to our genre.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I don't think that any of us have when it comes to Exiting The Fall, but we also have been doing this for a long time. If you are afraid of being on stage, practice what you would want to do on stage when you're off stage. That usually helps with your nerves when you are on stage because you already know what you want to do.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

When we are writing, we look strongly to the "Son I Loved You At Your Darkest" cd by As Cities Burn. That level of honest in both their lyrics and musicianship is absolutely inspiring.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

The fan once asked me to sign their forehead. That was pretty weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Technically a band is only as big as their fans make them. So, our fans are everything to us!

14. What do you think of our site?

We think it's awesome that you guys took the time to interview a smaller band like us. It looks very professional and informative and we are very excited to be a part of it!
