Hyedra - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Post-Hardcore band Hyedra from Donostia (Spain). We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We were looking for a catchy band name, so we brainstormed until we came up with the final name. 'HYEDRA' means ivy in spanish with a few spelling changes so we could have a unique name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We all play in a couple of bands of different genres. We always loved this kind of music, so we met one day and it came natural to us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Yes, we all knew each other because we shared the same rehearsal room.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We all like different styles of music, but we follow bands such as Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Russian Circles, Madeleine... to name a few.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Weed and beer.

6. Where was your last gig? 

In DOKA (Donostiako Kafe Antzokia), presenting our new EP 'Prologue'.

7. Where would you like to act?

In your hearts

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Explosions in the sky.

9. Whom not? 

Explosions in the sky, que son unos flipaus.

10. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Some local bands like Cohen, The Animal Within, Krilin, All Became Dust, Chase The Mayhem...

11. What do you think of our site? 

It's a really cool place to discover great emerging bands.
