Intraneum - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Technical Metalcore band Intraneum from Poland. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Intraneum in Latin means something inseparable. Although every member of our band has a different taste and perception of the music, we understand each other really well and that makes us feel really united and devoted for our playing.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We wanted to play something challenging, but at the same time melodic. We know it's a thing most of new bands say,but we find it really hard to match our music to one specific genre. We probably balance between technical deathcore and melodic death metal, though we don't want to be perceived as either of these.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Well, yes and no. Our vocalist and bassist attended to the same primary, secondary and high schools. We didn't know Kuba before,he was invited to play with us by our ex-drummer.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Kuba - Veil of Maya,
Paweł - Meshuggah,
Wojtek - Tesseract
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We often get inspired by some weird things and musicians who totally differ from the music we play. When we write our music, it just starts with "DAT RIFF", which opens our mind for the other parts of song. Writing process is probably the most amazing and exciting time for us.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was near Gdańsk, Poland. We supported Must Be The Music finalists,Materia. We enjoyed the gig,and so did people who came to listen to us.
7. Where would you like to act?
We'd love to tour the biggest cities of Poland and then? Probably some places where people would feel and enjoy our music. USA would be our main goal outside of Europe.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Definitely Marc Okubo from Veil of Maya and Misha Mansoor from Periphery for a guest solo. These guys definitely break the mould with their writing style. We wouldn't also mind to feature some good drummer, someone who could handle fast playing and polirythms, such as Tomas Haake from Meshuggah.
9. Whom not?
We are not biased, anyone who brings something fresh to our music is welcome,no matter if it's a violinist, sample producer or hang player.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?
We had to deal with it a lot in early stages of our playing. Now that we are quite confident in our abilities and experienced after playing a dozen of concerts,it's not that much of an issue. Our advice? Always be prepared for your concerts, the rest will not matter.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
For guitar writing, Veil of Maya and Black Dahlia Murder are probably the biggest sources of inspiration. Bass parts ideas often comes from bands such as Beyond Creation or Dawn of Dementia. We all love bands that break schemes, and do not stick to just one genre.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We know that's unarguably the most interesting part of most interviews, but we just can't recall anything surprisingly weird.
13. What do you think of your fans?
It's hard to say, as since the release of our single, Complex Kind, we've gained lots of new fans who we'd never suppose to actually support us. I hope this trend continues after the release of our EP, Perfection, on 14.03.2014.
14. What do you think of our site?
It looks interesting, would definitely look great with a bit of work. What we like is your interview section,it immediately caught our eye.
15. Something to add?
We'd like to thank you for giving us the chance to take part in an interview. We hope you'll enjoy our music and,who knows, maybe one day we'll get a chance to play in your city? Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/intraneum Kuba,Paweł and Wojtek Intraneum
