Hey Breathing The Core fans! Here we bring you the second interview of this day. In this case to the Post-Hardcore  band Merge, from France. They are epic so nothing more to say than enjoy the interview and like their FACEBOOK PAGE!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We were looking for something that could explain how we were mixing a lot of different kind of music: rock, metal, post-rock, etc. Merge came out like that.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Julien (guitar): When I decided to start Merge, I was living in Gothenburg in Sweden for my studies. This is where I found out about Post-Hardcore. When I got back to Paris, France, I decided to look for people and start a post-hardcore band whereas I had absolutely no experience in this genre of music. Really good memories though.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Absolutely not, we met thanks to forums and aquaintances.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Anthony (vocals): Glassjaw
Kaz (drums): Mogwai
Julien (Guitar): Thursday
Louis (guitar): Underoath
Charly (bass): Siguros

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

People, life, dreams.

6. Where was your last gig?

In Paris with La Dispute (US).

7. Where would you like to act?

We played across Europe so now, the US are the next step!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Anthony listen to R&B a lot. He would love some unexpected ft with someone like Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd).

9. Whom not?

Any metal singer ;)

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Of course. But as the time goes by, we learnt how to prepare correctly our concert: warming up, breathing, etc.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Glassjaw, Thursday, Underoath, Circa Survive, Emarosa, Saosin, etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

So far, we didn't have that much of bad experiences with our fans!

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the people who make us do what we do.

14. What do you think of our site?

It is really good man, you have really nice partners and it is so cool to write about us. We can't thank you enough.

15. Something to add?

Help your Alternative scene grow guys by coming at shows, sharing and buying bands' music. Without your help we are nothing.  Thanks a lot for your time.
