Interviews: Nothing Personal

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Melodic Hardcore / Screamo / Metalcore  band Nothing Personal from Poland. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We were thinking about band’s name for a long time. There were few different names before Nothing Personal but our present name came just like that. We were sitting in front of the computer screen and thinking about the name. Our guitarist said “Oh.. Maybe Nothing Personal? It sounds good” and rest of the band agreed the name and that the end of this story, haha.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We listened to heavy music from the beginning of our music journey. We started in primary school from Korn, System of a Down, Linkin Park then we started to listen bands like Suicide Silence and then we discovered something like melodic or post hardcore music and we really went into it and we loved that genre so we thought that it would be great to make music and to share it with the people. In this music we can show us feelings, show us message to the world and show that who we are and what we want to do.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah, of course. We know each other for a long time. We are like a small family. Also our drummer and guitarist are brothers so we can say that our band is kind of family for us .

4. Each band member favourite band?

Michał, guitarist - The Cold Harbour, Crooks
Kuba, drummer - Hunderedth, Being As An Ocean
Tomek, guitarist - The Clash
Tomek, bass player - Pink Floyd, Tool
Mikołaj, vocalist - Nirvana, Animals As Leaders, Northlane

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Hmm.. Our lives, our surroundings and everything what happens in this world.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Wrocław, Poland in club Cztery Litery with Seasons In Wreckage (UK) and Choking On Illusions (DE). It was really great show. Both bands was amazing so it was really good gig.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to act abroad not only in Poland. We want to share our music with the people, we want to spread the world with our music. We are planning now a summer European tour for the second half of August so if you want to book us in your city just write a mail to out manager. You can find contact on our facebook page.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are many great bands but I think with bands we mentioned in question numer 4.

9. Whom not?

We don’t have bands we don’t like so it really hard to say.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yeah, every single one of us suffered from stage fright. Beginnings are always hard but if you make music that means you love it and if you love something there’s no reason to be frightened. Tip for beginners? Make music, do what you really love and not to be afraid of stage because the more power you give from yourself the more people will take that serious.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There were lots of bands that have inspired us but I think bands like The Cold Harbour, While She Sleeps, Heart In Hand.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We didn’t have such a situations yet so it’s hard to answer to that question, haha. Maybe in the nearest future it will change so then we will be able to answer.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We really love our fans, every single one of them. They are the best people in our opinion because they supported us and still supporting us. They like things we do and they making us more confident about our music. Without them we won’t be here and without them there won’t be band called Nothing Personal because all we do we do for people, for our fans.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think it’s really cool that people making sites like that. To promote music, to make a little bands like us grow. It’s great opportunity to show your bands to the people. I hope you will be growing up so keep going guys !

15. Something to add?

I would like to thanks for this opportunity, for this interview. It means a world to us. Also I would to thanks all our fans for support. Last thing I’d like to mention is to support your local scene, buy CDs, merch, go to the gigs, have fun and make what you really love.
