Ocean In My Hand - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Deathcore  band Ocean In My Hand from France. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.
  
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

With our name we mean by that the human want to possess everything and we can say that the ocean means all the blood of every men who died during wars, massacres etc..."hand" and not "handS" mean the laziness we tought something with a real signification.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Every member of the band love deathcore/hardcore and metalcore music, so it was really easy to find the music genre that we want to play a mix of progressive deathcore, hardcore, and melodic, we try to do something different.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

I (Anthony the singer) Bastian (guitar) and Maxime (bass) are very good friends since 5 years. Our drummer (franz) is a good friend too, and for the other guitarist (bruno) he is in the same highschool than Bastian. Bruno joined us 1 month after the creation of the band and Franz became our drummer 2 weeks ago. Now we are a family!

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Bastian, me and Maxime love Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, Betraying The Martyrs.

Bruno prefers bands like Phinehas, Being As An Ocean.

Franz is a fan of every hardcore band, like Deez Nuts, Hatebreed, Architects....

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

I criticize the humanity, the religion, and every shitty thing in this world so i have so much to say in the lyrics haha!

6. Where was your last gig?  

We didn't do concerts for the moment. franz joined us only 2weeks ago, he has to learn every songs. but we have a lot of projects with local bands, we live near germany, and this country has a lot of deathcore/hardcore bands. it's gonna be awesome to play in germany

7. Where would you like to act?  

Our dream is to play in USA, do a tour in that big country is just magic. we already want to play in big festival.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

For me Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel) or Aaron Matts (Betraying The Martyrs).

9. Whom not?  

I don't know... it depends on how the singer is!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? 

We are beginners, i'm sure for our first gig, we will have stage fright but if you want to play, at first it's for the passion not for the money, don't be affraid, just try to be the best

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are not a lot of bands that have inspired me, i just try to make something different, to put my print. but if i have to say one it would be whitechapel.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

*censured* hahah

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Every fan is our friend so we love them, and without them, we will be nothing.

14. What do you think of our site? 

There are not a lot of sites about core music, it's really cool to find one. keep the work going ! :)
