Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore/lPost-Hardcore  band The Wise Man´s Fear from USA. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We got the band name from a fantasy novel of the same name written by Patrick Rothfuss. The book is about a young traveling musician.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

While our individual musical tastes range all over the place, the one major overlap in preference was the melodic metalcore/posthardcore sound that we love to play. To us the genre just made sense because it is what we love writing as well as listening to. It also carries a lot of message-delivering force when used properly compared to some of the other genres.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Only 2 of our original members knew each other at the beginning, and everybody else sort of joined through extended friend circles of one member or another. Except for Codi. We found that fool on craigslist (and we're so incredibly happy we did!).

4. Each band member favourite band?

Paul (drums) - Saosin Joe (screams) - Attila Nathan (clean vocals, rhythm guitar) - Motion City Soundtrack Codi (lead guitar, programming) - City in the Sea Brandon (Bass) - Hawthorne Heights Tyler (clean vocals, keys) - System of a Down

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Currently we are trying our best to focus on writing more artistically and meaningfully than ever before, so we have been working with a themed concept and taking that as far as we can. There is something of a story to the progression of our concept, so I suppose you could say we take inspiration from the ideas we discuss, and from the real-world experience that translates into workable concept material. We are also constantly inspired by the groups that we listen to/ listened to while growing up. You can never learn too much from other musicians!

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis with City in the Sea, Monstrous Me, and RobotFace.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to play some shows in Ohio! We hear the local scene there is incredible and the kids are insane.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

If we could play a warped tour with some of the big acts out there: Memphis May Fire, The Word Alive, The Devil Wears Prada, Issues and those guys that would absolutely be the greatest thing imaginable.

9. Whom not?

There isn’t really any band in particular that we do NOT want to play  show with, but we generally just like to stay away from groups that are full of themselves to the extent that they cannot view opening musicians as equals and can’t give fans the time of day to sign their things, etc. It kind of goes back to our outlook on pride and how it impacts people.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We absolutely suffer from stage fright, in varying degrees. It’s tricky business, getting up in front of total strangers (and in some ways trickier when you’re in front of friends and family) and just releasing the genuine emotion you initially poured into a song. It can feel weirdly personal. The key things to remember when you feel nervous onstage is to take deep, deliberate breaths, smile (it’s contagious!), and just have fun. Chances are people will react better to your band if you are friendly and fun-loving than if you played a killer set (but if you can do both, by all means have at it).

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Watching some of the older footage of groups like Parkway Drive, Underoath, Of Mice and Men, Memphis May Fire, Saosin, Switchfoot, and many many more online sort of sparked our desire to create and share music. It happened to each of us independently, and when we found the same fire in other guys our age with the same focus, it excited us and made us want to pursue our passion.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

One girl very forwardly asked for all of our phone numbers via a direct message on Instagram and we didn’t really know how to respond.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the downright greatest variety of people. We are small enough that anyone who has voluntarily tracked down and listened to our music has a genuine interest in exploring and perpetuation the music scene, and we think there is no greater kind of person than that. Anymore, people are so complacent that they won’t even download a free EP by a local band struggling to gain exposure even when it’s presented directly to them, and that’s a tough layer of ice to break for a new band. We really appreciate those who care enough to expand their horizons!

14. What do you think of our site?

Love it! In fact, I’ve been browsing a few bands I’d never listened to before while typing this! I’m really digging the browse by genre feature. Love what you’re doing for the musical community.

15. Something to add?

Thanks to everyone supporting music of any kind! Things as simple as facebook page likes, youtube channel views, reverbnation plays and the like really make a WORLD of difference to artists and don’t cost a dime. So thanks to music lovers who will go out of their comfort zone and check out something new for the joy of it; you are rare and important people. If you are interested in hearing our material, we recorded our EP “Ascend From Darkness” at Whisper Studios with Jeremy Mang and it is available online through iTunes, Google Play, Amazon mp3, Spotify, and more.
