Words Like Wire - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore band Words Like Wire from USA. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The band name kind of just came about after a little brainstorming. I wanted to write music that was honest and the name just really fit.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It's just really fun, and most people can get into whether they like softer music or a little heavier music. So it has something to offer everyone which is really important to us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah, we were all acquainted when Words Like Wire was started.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Matt - Sworn In, La Dispute, Gift Giver.

Jose - La Dispute, SHORT GAME, Touche Amore, and Counterparts.

Travis - A Day To Remember, Stray From The Path, and Dance Gavin Dance.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Matt - All of our songs are concept songs, meaning that they tell a story. Our EP "Apotheosis" actually follows a storyline and that's really my biggest motivation behind writing. Telling stories that people can listen to and enjoy and possibly even relate to.

Travis - When I write, I write to make people think outside of routine or to tell them a story, not to talk about money or anything stupid like that.

6. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Matt - I think it would be cool to have Tyler Dennen of Sworn In on a track. Maybe have Jordan Dreyer of La Dispute do some spoken word, that would be really cool.

Travis - Every Time I Die, always loved their sound.

7. Whom not?    

Matt - I don't really know. There are lots of vocalists I'd probably be like "No" to, but an example would be Ronnie Radke.

Travis - Definitely not Attila or IWABO.

8. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Matt - Linkin Park is definitely a pretty big inspiration to me musically. Vocally I'd say bands like Like Vultures, Villains, Sworn In, Volumes, and I See Stars have been huge inspirations.

9. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?    

We don't really have many fans. Lol. We have under 200 likes on Facebook right now and we're just a studio band, so we don't play shows.

10. What do you think of your fans?  

Anyone who likes our page, jams our music and shares it around is the coolest fucking person on the planet. I swear.

11. What do you think of our site?  

I think your site is pretty cool, giving bands the chance to be heard and whatnot. Keep it up.
