Ancient Pariah - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band Ancient Pariah from Mexico, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Hi, We didnt really planed the name to be this name: "Ancient Pariah". We got it of the idea of this tribe called the Pariahs that used to live in ancient india. They were the "underdogs" or the outcast because they refused to follow of all the other castes which, in process of time, The Pariahs performed the meanest kinds of manual labor and suffered from extreme social discrimination. This system of castes of which other tribes, whom some suppose to have been originally a conquering race, are the architects, not the founders. And we feel that way on being Mexicans, because México is a really beautiful country that has a HUGE potencial to be a better country, because we have tons of natural resources and shit like that, but this country has been really mutilated by other nations, and the violence is getting harder and harder to live in! not gonna lie we really were indentified by this tribe in a certain way as we are becoming more and more a manufacture country and not a leader one.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We are kind of addict to the sound 2008-2009' deathcore's like carnifex's cd hell chose me, suicide silence's the cleansing whitechapel's this is exile, and etc etc, and we wanted to bring more of this sound to present times by doing what we simply love to do what was really inspiring us to writte this EP, and also new bands that we think are doing the same (lorna shore for example).
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Eric and i (isack) were friends in a band before this one was created, we joined this band ( the older one) in around 2012 and got really well along eachother, then we met daby (guitarist) and later bob (bass) joined after the wrote our entire ep, and the newest member paul (drums) who used to play in another local band were we pulled him out after all the writting and recording process, so they are the "freshman" right now haha.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Bob- Fit For An Autopsy
Daby- Periphery
Isack- Impending Doom
Eric- Thy Art Is Murder
Paul- August Burns Red
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Tons of bands of which eric and i were really into it in the writting part, because it took like 6 months to slowly became an structure of what we were wanted to create, this "old school" sound (on deathcore of course). I remember one time when eric texted me a very late night text with this idea of a breakdown, and he didnt have a guitar or computer at the moment and i told him that he could hummed me the breakdown with his voice in a voice clip because he didnt wanted to lose the beat and thats how the "pillars of hate" middle breakdown was created hahah.
6. Where was your last gig?
My last gig was in 2013 when i was in Leeds, UK visiting my girlfriend at the moment, but if you are asking me when we as a band played, we have never played in reality because we just finished the record and we are looking forward really to it! we are feeling this itching already for being on a stage playing for a new audience who never has listened live our own songs.
7. Where would you like to act?
Well first of all we'd like start in México of course, we believe that you must tour your entire country first, repeat and repeat untill you become a well known artist, then the world! We always joke about playng in Australia, because we all know that's one of the best audiences for music right now, we'd love to play there! melbourne, sidney, perth and all australia's cities that let us play for them and their scene, also Russia and Europe and sounds very exciting and motivating for us. Trying to reach those areas in the world with our music, our beings are really portrayed in this three minutes pieces of vibrations that travel through the air(wich the think is called sound lol).
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Whitechapel carnifex thy art is murder i declare war lorna shore fit for an autopsy impending doom molotov solution (although they dont exist anymore lol) and in the Mexican scene: Arcadia libre Here comes the kraken all misery the greatness design frozen remains
9. Whom not?
We think as long we are on a stage, who cares who is under nor on top of us, wether be classic rock or pop music, it doesnt matter who is playing in our minds. we just want to reach as much ears we could hit up untill we bleed them ears out (in a good way obviously).
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Yes, we all suffered and suffer from that very much throught these years, even the biggest artist and bands say they feel nervous before a show but its always a good thing you know! kind of this electric shockwave wandering in our bodies, but once we hit the stage everything becomes so natural i think, hope to see the people sing and moving in the moshpit though, or at least some headbanging. Our tip or recomendations could be that you gotta be sure that you are comfortable with your practice, your performance and everything should be fine.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Whitechapel, signal the firing squad (RIP), Impending doom, Northlane, Born of osiris, boris the blade, Thy Art Is Murder, etc etc.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
There was one place that we used to play and going for local gigs called "el conde" but it was really hot and a freaking small venue, that one time when we started (it was a bar also) there were just old people, i mean just people in their 40-50's and they got so fascinated for our performance that some of them really headbanged haha.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Well we think dont have any fans 'till now, but when we got some (hopefully) we want to let them now that they are ALL for us, not only our entiring motivations for being playing music but we are gonna be gratefull forever with them if they ever buy a CD or a piece of merch we say to you THANK YOU in advance! YOU ARE AWESOME!
14. What do you think of our site?
Im pretty sure that you guys are doing this for fun and because you love music! and its awesome how you promote bands from all the planet just for entertaining, we salute you and say THANK YOU FOR THAT!
15. Something to add?
We are gonna release the entire EP somewhere in June so stay tuned because we're gonna blow your minds! gonna be completely free in bandcamp and if you want to share some of your money would be awesome and open to donations, but is gonna be free in general to download.
