Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Brightener  from Australia, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The idea for the name was that, a person who has hope, has an optimistic nature and sheds their positivity to others would be called a brightener, a life brightener I guess!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We've actually evolved since we started playing, we started off as pop punk, then we eventually moved to where we are now, which is around the melodic hardcore/post hardcore spectrum.

There is a lot of energy in the genres we've elected, playing live is more entertaining for us as we get to be a bit more alive on stage.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We knew each other before the band through school, so practising was pretty easy and transmitting ideas was pretty good.

4. Each band members favorite band?

Josh - Counterparts

Pat - The Ghost Inside

Shane - The Ghost Inside

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I (Josh) write the lyrics, but Lachie and I jam some stuff up then the other guys will help us refine them. Anything I feel is significant at a certain time will make a great lyric source for me, whether it be emotional, personal, the situation of some i know or even an issue I feel I would like to address.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at YoYo's supporting Sienna Skies, with our good buddies in Dear Seattle. It was a pretty quiet gig but we still did our best and had a lot of fun.

7.Where do you like to act?

We'd love just to tour Australia for a start. That would really be amazing.

8.Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to feature with a bunch of bands, letlive, defeater, counterparts, la dispute. Those bands are amazing and sharing the stage with them would be surreal.  Locally. we'd love to feature with Perspectives, Elegist, Trophy Eyes, Foxes and so many more sick bands that are bursting through the scene.

9.Whom not?

Honestly there isn't a band that we'd refuse to play with/feature with. All the bands we know are full of lovely people, so until we meet a band full of nasty people we are happy to be a part of any gig.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Wouldn't go as far as calling it stage fright! There are definitely nerves beforehand but once we get going it's a good time. Breathe slowly before you're about to go on. Don't be concerned with how prepared/unprepared you are for the gig, just get up on stage and play like you WANT to play. Because that's what performing is all about.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like Defeater, Counterparts, Stick to Your Guns, Balance and Composure have been influential in our music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't been asked for anything, but a 'fanfiction' article including myself and Luke from Forever Ends Here was quite a hand trembler.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The fans we know about are pretty damn awesome. We had one dude come up to us and insist on giving us money to help us make merch. That was pretty humbling.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is sick! It's detailed, packed with interviews of amazing bands and has so much news for fans of a lot of bands out there. The work you're doing for musicians just getting on their feet like us is wonderful
