Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Progressive Metal / Djent / Hardcore band Exist Immortal  from UK, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. All the questions are answered by Tom a member of the band. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Tom: Our name is actually an artifact of a founding member of the band who is no longer involved in ExIm. Our informational excavations suggest that the name was originally chosen as part of an overarching plot that never took shape, however, this has been lost to time. As it stands, we take the name literally - the things we write music about should be committed to history and not forgotten, be it our anger, sadness, regret or hatred. The threats and failings we document and witness should quite literally exist indefinitely and be rendered immortal. It provides us a powerful banner under which to write music and make ourselves heard.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Tom: We never made a specific choice to play he music we do - we've always just written the riffs and music that we wanted to hear, regardless of how the listener may want to classify it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Tom: Meyrick and I became friends in a band we were in before we joined Exist Immortal (it was called Decodes for those interested!). Besides us, Kurt and David were friends at college before forming ExIm. None of us knew Fergus before we got him in, but it now feels like we've been friends for a lot longer than we have! We're a tight knit bunch.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tom: One of my all time favourites are Nevermore. That aside, I can't get enough of Year of No Light and The Aquabats. Meyrick's into Buried in Verona, Muse and Memphis May Fire and David's loving Of Mice and Men. Kurt's got a serious man crush on Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J, and Fergus loves Lamb of God. We've got a serious mix of stuff going on!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Tom: We're inspired by all the terrible shit that happens around us all the time. There is so much wrong with the way the world works at the moment - be it companies prioritising their profits over the wellbeing of the planet or people pointlessly killing each other over a pointless belief or faith they hold. We take this frustration and anger and turn it into riffs and lyrics.

6. Where was your last gig?

Tom: Our last gig was in Norwich, UK at the B2, while touring with our friends in Arcite. Absolute incredible show - there is nothing better than seeing a crowd erupt with movement and for a room full of people to sing your words back at you. Norwich delivered both of these in spades.

7. Where would you like to act?

Tom: We want to go absolutely everywhere - we're desperate to get out into mainland Europe more, and to get to as may corners of the globe as possible. We're particularly keen to do Japan and the Philippines at the moment!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Tom: As far as dream bands to share the stage with, we'd love to be touring with bands like Heart of a Coward or Dark Tranquility. In the same vein, a tour with the likes of Buried in Verona or While She Sleeps would be beyond incredible! On a slightly sillier note, pretty much every one of us wants to go on tour with a rapper, Juicy J or Wiz Khalifa, preferably.

9. Whom not?

Tom: Honestly, there are no bands we wouldn't play with. We enjoy playing live too much to turn any opportunity down, and we're not so far up our own arses to be above playing with bands of a certain genre or any rubbish like that.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Tom: We've never really had issues with stage fright. Nerves are one thing, and they're a good thing, but stage fright has never been an issue. As far as advice to anyone who gets it, all I can really say is know what you're going to playing inside out, and just get on stage and enjoy the hell out of playing. If you're having fun, the audience will be having fun and you'll forget that you're even performing before long.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Tom: We're inspired by all kinds of music and bands - both in the scene we play in and outside of it. When we're writing, we're listening to everything - hip hop, metal, pop, bizarre spanish dance music, the works. Currently we're loving Juicy J, Black Tongue and Tech N9ne.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Tom: We haven't really had anything particularly strange asked of us so far - but we still get seriously humbled and baffled when people come up and ask us to sign stuff. We're just a bunch of hairy fucks who get in a car and go and play for people. The fact that people enjoy what we do enough to ask for our signatures on their stuff is just humbling and astonishing.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Tom: Our fans are amazing. The fact that they are spread out all over the world is beyond words - we've had people singing along to our songs in France and India, as well as in the UK. It's astonishing. There was one particularly memorable dude in India who travelled 10 hours across the country to come and see us - and when he got there, he sung every single word to every single song in the set. It was amazing.

14. What do you think of our site?

Tom: It's great! Really impressive to see one guy building and maintaining a blog dedicated to sharing music. Crack on mate!

15. Something to add?

Tom: Just that if you want to keep up with Exist Immortal, like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/existimmortal, follow us @existimmortal and subscribe to www.youtube.com/existimmortal. Also, our debut album has just come out and can be bought at www.existimmortal.bandcamp.com - we're unsigned, so every sale counts and helps us get to the next show! Thanks!
