The Man And His Machine - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore band The Man And His Machine from Canada, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The band name was created a long time before we had our final lineup arranged, nothing really planned but the origin is from Godzilla. It can be taken many ways so we decided to stick with it.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We all grew up playing aggressive music so this genre is just a result of every band members' individual influences coming out in a clusterfuck of noise.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
All the members of the band have playing music in the Saskatchewan scene for 5-10 years so we've all bumped into each other at some point, a few members knew each other better than others.
4. Each band member favourite band?
No one really has a "favourite" band but our influences range everything from Motorhead to Red Fang to Aesop Rock.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We're inspired to write songs by the live experience. We pretty much only care about playing shows so any opportunity to play to some new faces inspires us to keep writing.
6. Where was your last gig?
Last week we played two solid shows in Regina, one with Fuck The Facts and one with Misery Signals.
7. Where would you like to act?
We’re stoked to play anywhere possible! Hopefully we can make it out to Australia, and the US in the next few years.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Portugal The Man
9. Whom not?
Bands with synth loops and auto-tuned vocals.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Most of us are pretty relaxed with playing on stage, but the best way to overcome stage fright would probably be to stop caring what people think. It's not going to matter in a year so just do your thing.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
That's another hard one. All the members have their own personal inpirational influences but pretty much anyone who has pushed the limits on their genre and thought outside of the box.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Luckily our fans don't ask us to do much.. maybe to take mystery drugs but that's not very weird in our books.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We have a small and incredibly diverse group of people who dig our music. Anyone we've met so far have been great.
14. What do you think of our site?
It’s great! There’s not many websites out there giving exposure to underground musicians. We really appreciate what you’re doing.
