Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic/Post-Hardcore/Metal  band To Kill Achilles from Scotland (UK), so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It's a line from the movie 'Troy' we just thought it sounded cool.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We've all been into metal/post-hardcore for years so when we started the band this genre is just what came out, it feels comfortable for us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

A few us us knew each other before we formed. The original line up was just friends from school but over the years we've been through some changes and those changes involved integrating some new people who we now call our best friends you know?

4. Each band member favourite band?

Mark Steppie - Betraying The Martyrs

Marc Sharp - Architects

Matthew Tippett - August Burns Red

Shaun Laurence - While She Sleeps

Andy Ptolomey - La Dispute

Mark Tindal - Emmure

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We write songs about how we feel, about the experiences we've had, the places we've been and the things we've done in life. What inspires us to write music is the rewards that come with it, standing on stage playing music you care about is the best feeling in the world and because of the band we have been to places in the world that we never would have without it, it allows us to travel and live a life we never thought we'd have. It's the best thing thats happened to any of us.

6. Where was your last gig?

Razzmatazz - Barcelona (One of the craziest nights of our lives, too much alcohol, crazy dub step, we we're fucked, it was amazing)

7. Where would you like to play?

Everywhere, we want to see the world, every part of it.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We were suppose to play Russia with Upon This Dawning but unfortunately it fell through, we we're all pretty gutted so it would be good to play with those guys. It feels like something we should have done and something we really wanted to do.

9. Whom not?

We're always happy to play with everyone but it seriously helps if they're a good bunch of people who like to drink, who like to party and create some sick memories on tour.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?

Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  We don't really suffer from stage fright. Don't me me wrong, we get nervous as hell before some shows, especially if the support bands have been smashing it but that's natural. You wanna put on a good show so you get nervous because things CAN go wrong. The best advise we can give is, relax, don't drink too much before you go on stage, remember that the kids in the crowd are there to see you, they're never gonna be dicks and heckle you, it just doesn't happen, they've paid to see you, go give 'em a show.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands that have worked hard to get where they are, they inspire us. We have respect for bands like Architects and While She Sleeps because they're from the UK like us, we've followed them since they first started and to follow in their footsteps would be cool.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A girl from Bulgaria asked for a lock of Sharpies hair.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them, we constantly can't get ever how many kids turn up at shows in countries we've never been before. The kids buy merch just to help us out with tour costs, they buy the record and learn the words to shout back at us. It's a privilege having people out there that like what you do, when it comes down to it, we're 6 dicks from scotland who mean nothing, and we have people out there who love the music we write and when we meet them they're amazing, they're always so appreciative and we are blown away every time.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is cool! Awesome range of interviews from bands all around the world. Plus the merch is wicked, I really want one of the camoflash tee shirts!

15. Something to add?

Thanks very much for the interview guys. It's been fun and to anyone reading this, we hope to meet you all at a show sometime, thanks for taking the time to listen to us talking shit, haha cheers!
