Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Cardio Kazan from Mexico, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The idea for the band’s name came to us while watching a Champions League soccer game, we all are devoted soccer fans. One day we were watching one of these games from a Russian team called Rubin Kazan and before the game started the camera was taking all these different frames of the fans. One particular fan caught our attention because he was holding a scarf with a legend that read “CARDIO KAZAN” with a drawing of a heart in the middle. The TV anchors mentioned that they were inferring that their heart belonged to the Kazan team. So that’s how the idea for the name came out.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Well, first of all, not even us know what genre we play. We just wanted to mix everything that we all liked and make something different, which was the idea from the beginning. We wanted to make fast paced rhythm without getting too “punk”. The intention was to create a raw and melodic sound that could get stuck in your head for days.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Three of us were in another band called “5 More Days” a few years ago and when that project ended the idea of creating a new band came up and along the way we met Mike (guitar) and Yesua (bass/vocals).

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tough question because each one of us has his own style, but if we had to choose these could be our all time favorites:

Eder- Senses Fail and Saosin

Yesua- It Dies Today, As I Lay Dying and Circa Survive.

Mike- Rise Against, August Burns Red and Saosin

Jojo- Emery

Chris- Avenged Sevenfold

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Movies! The main idea of our lyrics is to narrate a sort of trailer movie in 3:00 minutes, but with some sort of meaning (personal or in general) at the same time. If you read closely you will notice that all the songs we write have their own story.  Some songs like “Al-Barzahk” were written emulating the plot of a thriller. But if you take, for example, “Ultraviolet Suspension” this one has a Sci-fi touch to it. That’s the idea when it comes to our lyrics, but always adding personal feelings as metaphors.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was in Tijuana, Mexico.

7. Where would you like to act?

Warped Tour definitely. It will be a dream come true for us if we get to play in this year’s show.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Wow, with many, many amazing musicians of course. But probably talking about vocalist it has to be Anthony Green.

9. Whom not?

Bieber, obviously.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

A good friend of mine once told me that if someday when you are about to get on stage and you don’t feel nervous or sick in your stomach would be the moment to quit. The only ways to beat it is by embracing the fear and the adrenaline and enjoy your moment while on stage.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

So many bands that will be impossible to list them. Any music genre and musician can inspire to create your own music (all but Bieber of course). But if I have to make a quick list it would have to be bands like Saosin, Rise Against, Senses Fail, As I Lay Dying and Incubus just to mention a few.

13.Whats the weirdest thing a fan asked you for?

Mmhm, I guess it was when someone ask me to make a post of facebook saying that I was this girl’s cousin because…..? Who knows  .

13.What do you think of your fans?

We have the greatest fans a band could ask for. We are talking about people that have been constantly supporting the band even when things went dark with the release of our album. Even then, they waited an entire year for our new material. We will never forget the fans that have supported us since day one.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think you guys have a project with infinite potential. It is cool that you guys are trying to help out bands like us by doing this type of work. Exposure is key for any band and that’s what you guys are offering. Pretty cool!

15. Something to add?

Thank you Breathing The Core for taking interest in Cardio Kazan. Remember that our debut album is now available for download in Bandcamp, itunes, Amazon and Spotify.
