HAWSER - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore band HAWSER from Netherlands, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We wanted something meaningful, so after a long, long search we came up with HAWSER. Hawser is a thick rope for towing ships. The idea behind it is that you need a guideline in your life.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Actually, we did not choose the genre, it just developed itself through playing together. You can see it as a mixed genre by all of our input. We all are into hardcore, but other influences are decisive for HAWSER’s sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

No, only Oskar and I knew each other. After starting the band with Oskar, we asked Stijn for vocals, and he knew some bass player who might wanna join. So it happened that a couple of people that didn’t know each other formed a band.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

This is really difficult because we all like many different bands. Mine would be Means, Oskar says Risk It!, Stijn is a big fan of Only Living Witness and Ruben picks Rage against the Machine.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Everyone and everything. Everything we do, all the things we experience in our lives, are inspiration for our music. Of course we have a shitload of bands that inspire us as well.

6. Where was your last gig?  

That would be Northcote Festival in Dordrecht, the Netherlands on March 29th.

7. Where would you like to act?

(Guessing you mean were to play?) Everywhere! Just traveling around the world, playing shows.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

It would be amazing to do some tours with our favourite bands. Although some of those bands broke up years ago. Anyway, we would be happy to hop on any tour we can!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

In the start we all suffered from stage fright. You just need to go on stage and play your show! You will get used to it and that way you can start improve your stage performance.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Stijn: Last year in Budapest suddenly people asked us to go on a picture with them. That is kinda weird as we did not had any name what so ever in Hungary.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are great! They go crazy at every single show they attend.

14. What do you think of our site?  

Great blogging site! Got some cool articles about bigger bands but also the smaller ones. We need that.
