Set Before Us - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Hardcore band Set Before Us from Sweden, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We brainstormed for a while for something that would sound catchy whilst still holding some kind of meaning or message that would be meaningful to ourselves and easily percieved by others.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Because it's a sort of music that's energetic and powerful.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yes we did, 4 of the guys have known eachother their whole lives, basically.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We listen to a LOT of music genres. When it comes to metalcore, we prefer bands like Parkway Drive, Breakdown of Sanity and August Burns Red.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We are all inspired by different things like going to other band's shows, listening to new tracks etc.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was at Debaser in the heart of Stockholm. We were in the finals of Emergenza, a band contest.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Pretty much anywhere we can. All around the globe is the goal.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We'd love to play with great metalcore acts like Parkway Drive or August Burns Red.

9. Whom not?  

We consider it a honour to play with all bands in the genre, we'd never give no for an answer without obvious reasons.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Just race up that stage and enjoy the moment to the fullest. Nobody's going to hear minor mistakes or anything like that, you shouldn't worry. Know your songs well.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

We haven't had anything that wierd to this date, knock on wood.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Without fans, there is no band. It's that simple. Especially in our line of music.

14. What do you think of our site?  

It's great! Well done. Honestly, we're deeply thankful for sites like this, working to promote upcoming bands.
