Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Transcendence from USA, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Funny you should ask haha We had some difficulty working out an agreeable name, the first few we came up with either didn’t flow for us or they were already taken. Our name was actually kind of a random spark idea that we had eating dinner as a group one night. The name comes from the name for a song by Decoder, who is no longer together.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We all love this type of music. The passion and the aggression and even the sense of relief that’s mixed in with how this music is played/written. We all grew up in the same high school listening to similar bands, and it’s the genre that’s gotten us all through tough times. We figured it would be a great fit for us, stick with what you know, ya know?

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Jason and Justin Ebanks are brothers, so they’ve known each other their whole lives haha, but other than that, none of us really knew each other heavily before the band. Jason and Justin May (jmay) were in a band previously and asked Gooch to join in as a clean vocalist. During the time in that band Justin Ebanks was asked for advice about drumming, and then it just turned into us jamming out all together. Gabe was known by all of us, more of an acquaintance than a best friend type deal if that makes sense. We needed another guitarist after the first one didn’t work out and he’s just stuck there ever since, and its great.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Gooch – Dance Gavin Dance or A Day To Remember

Justin M - The Story so Far or Code Orange Kids

Justin E - Underoath or Counterparts

Jason - Taking Back Sunday or The Color Morale

Gabe - The Plot in You.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well our first Ep was all of us just finding a fit all together and we found the inspiration from the happiness we gained from working together and seeing reactions from our friends. This Split EP that just got released, the 2 songs are inspirations from some very negative events that occurred within these past few years. One song being about a torn apart family where the drama just took a toll on almost everything in the individual’s life, including the band. The other song is based on our feelings about the loss of one of our very first fans who we will never forget. His death has been a very huge inspiration to all of us, it hit home hard.

6. Where was your last gig?

We actually played a house show in Leesburg haha We haven’t been playing many shows since we played Southeast Beast Festival in Jacksonville earlier this year. Been working on new material.

7. Where would you like to act?

Honestly we’re up to perform anywhere. Theres no better thrill than playing a show in front of a crowd of people.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? Whom not?

I’m sure we all have different bands we aspire to play with one day, but we don’t have problems playing with anyone. The only time we would have a problem is maybe a band that doesn’t know how to respect other bands, disrespect is uncalled for in the music scene. Just because you don’t like something or someone doesn’t mean you can belittle it/them. Gooch: I know me personally it would be cool to play with maybe No bragging rights, their sound and message is a huge inspiration to me.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I don’t think any of us had any stage fright! I think being on stage is the most exciting feeling there is so it doesn’t really frighten us. But if you do have stage fright, just go out there and do it, you have nothing to lose! Gooch

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Any band that has a passion for their own music is a band that inspires us.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We really don’t have any weird experiences.

12. What do you think of your fans?

If people actually listen to our music and enjoy it, we absolutely love you.

13. What do you think of our site?

We think it’s awesome! We need more people like you making websites & supporting local bands.
