Washington Oath - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore/Metalcore band Washington Oath from Sweden, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name is a reminder of staying true to he idea that everyone is equal, no matter who they are. The " I have a dream " speech by MLK was held in Washington, and the Washington Oath for us, is staying true to the words he spoke. The name wasn't really planed, it came as a stroke of luck.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We love the energy that comes with playing heavy music, and there are lots of opportunities to make interesting music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some of the guys knew each other from earlier but not all of us.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Yoel: Killswitch Engage,

Anton: Parkway drive,

Ludvig: The devil wears prada,parkway drive.

Emil: Suicide silence,

Albin: Architects

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We express feelings through our songwriting, it's a way for us to get things out of our systems.

6. Where was your last gig?

In Gothenburg, Sweden, At a festival called "Skriket".

7. Where would you like to act?  

We would love to play the Vans warped tour some day.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There's lots of them, Parkway, Adept, Memphis may fire etc...

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I don't think there's anyone who we wouldn't play with, we love playing shows, not matter with who we're playing with or where we are, we have a good time!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I don't think anyone has been afraid to go on stage, rather nervous, but we have grown more and more confident over time.  11. A day to remember, Parkway drive!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing I can think of at the moment.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Anyone who takes the time to come out to a show, or listens to our songs are deeply loved by all of us.
