Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore/Metalcore band  5/5.8 from UK, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): The band name means pretty much nothing, it's quoting Gio (drums) after a night of being extremely drunk, he had no idea what he was talking about.

John (Bass): Gio was pissed.

Gio (Drums): There is no way anyone would plan to have such a stupid band name haha, it's a phrase that was coined in a drunken state on tour late last year and when we needed a band name, we thought, why not?

Luke (Vocals): It was always a name between the group that we had as a inside joke but at the end of yeh day we chose it because it all meant something to us and in a way is memorable.

James (Lead Guitar): One drunk evening in our old band our drummer (Gio) slept talked and out came the words "It's either five or five point eight" and from there the words stuck!.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): The genre of music we play is probably somewhere between early Avenged Sevenfold and recent Bring Me The Horizon, two of my all time favourite bands so our music is perfect to me.

John (Bass): It's a genre I've been listening to for at least 6 years and it's a hell of a lot of fun to play live.

Gio (Drums): The style we play just forms itself because each member has 100% creative control over their parts, and we all have very similar tastes while also incorporating elements of music that the others don't listen to.

Luke (Vocals): We all come from different musical backgrounds with different tastes of music so we choose to combine all that we loved to make something new.

James (Lead Guitar): It's a genre I find i can easily express myself in and I find it natural and easy to write.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Yes. Long story short, we are all ex-members of a band called Evilyn, and that's how we know eachother.

John (Bass): I knew Luke before 5.8 and knew of Gio, met Danny and James because of 5.8.

Gio (Drums): We are all previous members of various incarnations of another band, and after the absolutely awful experience of being in that band we formed this one.

Luke (Vocals): We were all in a band called Evilyn together and also Luke used to go to the same high school as john who was also a pass member of evilyn.

James (Lead Guitar): All of us have been together in a previous band so yes.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): My favourite band at the moment is Motionless In White.

John (Bass): Duran Duran.

Gio (Drums): Rage Against The Machine.

Luke (Vocals): Coheed And Cambria.

James (Lead Guitar): Northlane.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Musicians such as Devin Sola (Motionless In White), Lee Malia (Bring Me The Horizon) and Zacky Vengeance (Avenged Sevenfold) inspired me to want to be like them and play/write guitar/bass parts with their styles.

John (Bass):  I've always been inspired by things that have happened to me.

Gio (Drums): Personal experiences mostly, and I always get a massive surge of inspirations after seeing one of my favourite artists live.

Luke (Vocals): My main inspiration are the people around me and tend to write about the people in my life who make me who I am.

James (Lead Guitar): Music is the only thing i've ever really felt a drive to do well in, and with my dad having always been in music it made it an easy choice for me.

6. Where was your last gig?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Our last gig was Surya in London supporting Amaryllis and Ugly Love's tour.

John (Bass): Surya London.

Gio (Drums): London.

Luke (Vocals): Surya London.

James (Lead Guitar): Surya London.

7. Where would you like to act?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): I'd love to play O2 Academy Brixton. Such a good venue.

John (Bass): 02 academy Brixton, Soundwave festival, Warp tour and Download.

Gio (Drums): "I'd love to play Camden Underworld. Every venue needs a pillar of death.

Luke (Vocals): I have always loved to play the Brixton academy in London.

James (Lead Guitar): Warped tour would be a dream come true, though any festival would be a dream for me.

8.Whom would you like to feature with?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): I'd love to support any of the bands I've already mentioned, MIW, BMTH, A7x or Asking Alexandria.

John (Bass): November Veil.

Gio (Drums): When Fightstar get back together, I want to be on that tour.

Luke (Vocals): Green Day all the way I love their live performances and have the most exciting shows out of all the gig I have been to.

James (Lead Guitar): Chris Motionless or Matt Shadows.

9. Whom not?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Evilyn.

John (Bass): Evilyn.

Gio (Drums): Ryder And The Ataxias.

Luke (Vocals): Justin Bieber.

James (Lead Guitar):  Bull related bands.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): All the time, before most gigs I get stage fright. Practice at home standing and performing exactly as you will, and on the night just repeat that as if you're still at home.

John (Bass): Everytime before I hit the stage I am shitting myself, once I'm on for 30 seconds all stage fright goes and adrenaline kicks in.

Gio (Drums): Nope, if you don't feel at home on a stage you shouldn't be on it!

Luke (Vocals): I used to suffer from stage fright very badly when I first started to perform live I used to shake a lot and have uncontrollable sweating but after a few shows I begun to realise that the people at the show are there to see you not to judge you and not soon after I began to crave being on stage and now I love it.

James (Lead Guitar): Personally I haven't had any real issues with stage fright though to those that do I'd say tackle it head on. the best way to beat it is to go straight at it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): MIW, A7X, BMTH, AA.

John (Bass): Duran Duran are the reason I started doing music.

Gio (Drums): Rage Against The Machine, Queen, Foo Fighters.

Luke (Vocals): coheed and cambria, blink 182, green day, linkin park, kasabian and the killers.

James (Lead Guitar): My most inspirational band of all time have to be Avenged Sevenfold. From them I've took a love for dueling guitars and powerful clean vocals.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): I once asked fans to bring me some mud and they did.

John (Bass): Not really been asked to give anything, but weirdest fan experience would probably be being bitten.

Gio (Drums): There are too many to pick from; and having to remember them all will infuriate me haha.

Luke (Vocals): I once got asked for my sweaty gig clothes after a show so that they could remember the show forever.

James (Lead Guitar): I've been asked if I could be smelt.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Our fans are fab, the amount of online support we get is ridiculous.

John (Bass): Fans are amazing, the amount of support they give us is unbelievable.

Gio (Drums): They support us so we're of course extremely grateful.

Luke (Vocals): I love them because without them we wouldn't be who we are and wouldn't be around without them.

James (Lead Guitar): They're incredibly devoted and I'm so pleased to see how they support us, especially recently!

14. What do you think of our site?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): There are some awesome bands on here so it's pretty cool you wanted to talk to us too, cheers!

John (Bass): Think it's a great site and it's amazing that we got approached by a site that has interviewed some of our favorite bands.

Gio (Drums): Freaking sweet; we were stoked to be approached by a site that featured interviews with some of out favourite bands.

Luke (Vocals): I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

James (Lead Guitar): I think it's great. it seems to offer both small and large bands an opportunity to be a part of something easily available to the public

15. Something to add?

Danny (Rythm Guitar): Nope.

John (Bass): Just a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.

Gio (Drums): Did you know that Chris Bull is an aeroplane engineer?.

Luke (Vocals): Nothing more.

James (Lead Guitar): Nno extra comment
