Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Ambient Metalcore solo project  A Scarlet Dress from India, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I used to sketch a lot as a kid. around 5 years back I sketched a composition that had a standing nude girl with arms wide open at the edge of a cliff and A piece of cloth covering her torso. I have always imagined that piece of cloth to be Red in colour. When this project started, I could only think of A Scarlet Dress as a name, relating to that drawing back then.

2.Why did you  start this solo project?

I couldn't find musicians that could match my taste and I was very much into the progressive metal movement. It is still a very foreign idea in India and thus I had to learn composing each instrument on my own.

3.Why did you want to play this genre?

Ambient metalcore is just a combination of two of my favourite genres. I believe this genre is more emotional and sensitive that the heavier, harsher sub categories.

4.Your favourite band?

I have been a lot into underground bands and I have watched them grow over the years. Erra is definitely at the top for me. If i could take one more name it would be Breakdown of Sanity

5.Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Normally I'd say that things around me and my personal experiences inspire me to write songs but a big part of it is to bring out something new and different to this ever growing movement. I write songs for people and not just myself.

6.Where would you like to act?

I would love to make ASD a performing act at Vans warped tour or at Rock am Ring, but that's far from reality.

7.Whom would you like to feature with?

For some reason I'd love Katy Perry on one of my songs! haha

8.Whom not?

Definitely not anyone from the black metal listing

9.What bands have inspired you the most?

Tons actually, to name a few it would be, The Air I Breathe, Reflections, Volumes, Erra, the old Escape the Fate, Chelsea grin and circle of contempt

10.What do you think of our site?

I think you guys have taken a good initiative to support bands that are out there but just don't have the recognition. It is my pleasure to be featured on your site

11.Something to add?

Well to conclude, Metal is just not about the rawness and power on stage or wherever, I believe a big part of it is the emotion involved in making it. For me Each one of you is an inspiration.
