Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band  As We Remain from Sweden, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The idea of the band started back in 2010 with me and Viktor, the drummer. The concept of the band-name is basically about Friendship, Many things come and go in your life but true friendship remains. So the the name As We Remain felt like a perfect fit.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We have different influences as we all listen to a wide variety of music in our free time, But what we tend to enjoy most are kickass breakdowns and a crowdsurfing, moshing crowd. This results in us trying to write music that bring forth these emotions from the people that listen to our music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Even if the town we live in (Västerås) is the 5th biggest city in Sweden, The community of musicians here is really tight, pretty much everybody knows each other in one form or another.

4. Each band member favourite band?

This is something we in the band could possibly debate and argue about for the rest of the evening, but i would say anything from classical Hardcore Punk, to modern Metal. The list would literally go on for ages!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

This is actually a 4 stage process. Most of the time i write the actual songs and our Vocalist Nicklas work on lyrics separately. The song is either inspired by the lyrics he has written or the lyrics inspired by the song i have written. After we have gotten a basic idea of how we want the structure of the song to look and sound like, we then build up our home studio in our rehearsal space to then work and record the song simultaneously. We sort of come up with the cool little ideas on the spot!

6. Where was your last gig?

The most recent gig we had was in a neighbouring town called Köping, with a band called Heroes Die Alone, consisting of very close friends of ours.. In fact, their vocalist is also our Bassist!

7. Where would you like to act?

I would have to say Impericon Festival.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

The Ghost Inside is one of many inspirations so i would definitely say Jonathan Vigil.. His vocals have a special vibe to it! That or Matt Bruso from Bury Your Dead!

9. Whom not?

There isn’t really any hate over any artists from our end, Most likely someone who wouldn’t do it Whole-hearted i would guess.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think everyone start off with a little stage-fright the first few times you get up infront of people. The first thing you have to learn is that it’s ok to fuck up and make a fool out of yourself. After that, you will notice that nothing is scary or awkward anymore. Then again, a little stage fright always helps to get the adrenaline pumping!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I would be a fool if i didn’t say Parkway Drive here, But it’s mainly the atmosphere they pull off.  It’s all about the "feelgood" vibe, and the sense of friendship and being a part of something. The same goes with The Ghost Inside, Bury Your Dead, Bury Tomorrow, Deez Nuts, etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When a fan insisted on buying the shirt i was wearing after a gig.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The fans are everything. Without the fans, the bands are nothing and have nothing.

14. What do you think of our site?

From what i see it looks all good! Seems like a legit place to get your band out to the masses!

15. Something to add?

We have our new EP: “Chapters & Choices” coming out 4th of July both digitally and physically, and we also have a music video in the works to be released after that!
