Clan Bastardo - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Came out one night in South America I was with my brother Enzo and an Italian designer talking about a name that can be easely understood almost everywhere and I think Clan Bastardo is perfect.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Cause it’s the genre we love I think it’s easier to play the music you have in your soul.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We are two brothers and we know the drummer since long time.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We love a lot of bands punk-rock, rock, alternative… Enzo loves the Cock Sparrer, Jamie I think UK Subs cause he play drums with them and about me I like Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Rancid & Nirvana.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

When I wrote for me and about me, about what I feel in that moment. My inspiration is my life. I like to read Bukowski and I think his style inspire my style of writing too.

6. Where was your last gig?

Buenos Aires, Argentina. I think.

7. Where would you like to act?

We are planning a Tour in North and South America for next year.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Bruce Springsteen.

9. Whom not?

I don’t know I just don’t like bands that sing stupid songs that don’t have a meaning.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Drink something and go on. Just try and try there is not tips just continue to try and to believe in you. If doesn’t work take some pills ahahh!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

I love Pearl Jam, Social Distortion, Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, Rancid, Foo Fighters, Offspring and many others and every one influenced us in many different ways.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When we were on tour in UK few years ago a fan ask us to play an Italian song from the 60’s cause his mother love that song.

13. What do you think of your fans? My people is the most important thing for me. Without them we are nothing.

14. What do you think of our site?

Underground music need someone to introduce you to the scene and you are the one.
