Commencing Human Desperation - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The band name just came out like that, but originally it was a song name that was called "Commencing Human Combustion", but we changed "Combustion" to "Desperation" to make it sound more fluent.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

There wasn't ever a reason on why we chose deathcore, it just happened.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

No, we all started to know each other when the band formed.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Vinny: Whitechapel

Seth: Chelsea Grin

Jamie: The Devil Wears Prada

Dylan: Lorna Shore  Andrew: The Faceless

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We all have different inspirations for why we write music, from big touring bands to close family.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Born Hanged Tour featuring Black Tongue, Lifeforms, and Galactic Pegasus.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Warped Tour, Wacken, Download Festival, and Summer Slaughter.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Lorna Shore, Despised Icon, The Faceless, Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, Cattle Decapitation, Impaled, Carnifex, Upon a Burning Body, Obliterate, Traitors, The Acacia Strain, The Devil Wears Prada, After the Burial, Born of Osiris, Scale the Summit, Suicide Silence, Oceano, and As Blood Runs Black.

9. Whom not?  

Music is music, really, so there isn't anybody we won't play with. We enjoy performing and it's always a pleasure meeting new musicians a part of any genre that's from different cities across the world.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

We all have experienced stage fright at some point. The best way to get over it, is to just get up there, do your thing and then do it again and again until you've finally overcome it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Chelsea Grin and Whitechapel most definitely, but a few other bands such as Thy Art is Murder,   Lorna Shore, Carnifex, and such on.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

During one of our shows, two girls said they would buy one of our CDs only if they could braid Dylan's hair and he kept it in until we played.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Our fans are the absolute best. They come out to see us show after show, they go hard in the pit, they have our merch and tell us it's their favorite piece of clothing. Their love and support means more to us than we can express!

14. What do you think of our site?
