Hollow Heart - Interview
Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Hollow Heart from USA, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Chris was reading some poetry and liked the imagery of it. It was all about how a heart is hollow, and we're constantly looking for something to fill it.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
It's an energetic genre. It gets you pumped, and gets the people moving. There's fun and aggression and passion all coiled into one. It's really awesome.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
A handful of us were friends before the band became official thing. For the most part we all knew each other as musicians.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Parkway Drive, The Word Alive, Coheed and Cambria, and Whitechapel are bands that we all really love.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
It's mostly everyday life. A lot of past events inspired "The Separation", and our newer material focuses more on current situations.
6. Where was your last gig?
We're playing a show here in St. Louis very soon. We're pretty stoked!
7. Where would you like to act?
All of us really liked travelling down south and east. Georgia and Kentucky were fun. Some west-coast travel would be nice too. Really anywhere!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
The Word Alive would be a stellar band to work with. Same thing with The Color Morale; we all really love those dudes a lot.
9. Whom not?
I don't think we know anybody personally, or anyone's reputation, that's so bad that we wouldn't want to work with them. We'd be down to play with anyone, basically.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
You know, it's surprisingly comfortable for us to play in front of people. I think feeding off of the energy the crowd is giving really helps out. I'd say to any beginners that you just have to get out there and do it, and remember that most people aren't going to notice if you screw up a few notes or lyrics.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Really our favorite bands have also been our biggest inspirations. Those are folks that we all look up to both musically and as people.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Well it was when our members were in a different band, but once we had a fan ask if it was alright if he wore his penguin costume in our pit. Nobody said no!
13. What do you think of your fans?
We have incredible fans. I know every band says that, but really our fans have been really loyal to us, despite whenever we run into issues. They're supportive 'til the end. It's amazing.
14. What do you think of our site?
I actually really loved the site. It was a great way to discover bands, and also connect with fans, promoters and booking agents. I think it covers all of the bases of metalcore music, something a lot of websites and blogs kind of miss out on.
15. Something to add?
Our album "The Separation" tells a story. We really hope you dig it!
