Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band  Hummano from Spain, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

After being in bands with long names (Natural Born Stonehead, MyAlterEgo) we were looking for a single word. Something catchy, easy to remember and which describes the silly stuff we do. After long lists of names we declined, I came up with Humano (one ‘m’) which was exactly what we were looking for. The we found out there was a pop-rock band with that name and we decided to start looking for another one until I just thought of including the second ‘m’ and make it even more “special”, to say it somehow. That’s how we ended up being Hummano.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our other bands ranged from groove metal to metalcore, and we wanted to do something simple, very direct and which we would enjoy to play live and be more centred in having a laugh than showing what great musicians we were (and which we are not). We had Bury Your Dead in mind, not because of their specific style, but for the simplicity of their songs and structures. Our style evolved to what you can hear in our first album, ‘Is The Shit’ (2013), and has evolved way further in what will be our second album, which we expect to release before the end of the year.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, the drummer, Adrian, and I (Fernando guitar) played in a band together. Thomas (vocals) was a very close friend of mine and we rehearsed in the same studio, and Pablo (bass) was a friend of all three of us and he played in a band that rehearsed in the studio next to ours, so we knew each other pretty well.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Well, my all-time favourite band is Pantera. Pablo’s favourite band would be either Pantera or Meshuggah. Thomas’s favourite band is Underoath and Adrian would be Machine Head. As you can see, we are pretty classic and I guess that although we play a modern style of music, you can always here this ‘classic vibe’ in our songs.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Generally I write all of the music and I’m not really inspired by anything, I start playing and it comes out and once I have a few good riffs, it all kind of falls into place. Sometimes I can write a song in a few hours and other times it takes me months because there’s something I don’t like about it and I try different stuff, re-structure it, etc.  Lyric-wise is quite different. Most songs Thomas writes them and I chip in whenever I can, but in both Thomas and myself are inspired by life situations and experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was a two day festival called Aversion Fest, which took place in Galicia (north of Spain), and where we played with Spanish, English and French bands. Loads of friends and beer, all we ask for!

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere! Well, we would obviously like to tour Europe and the US, and play major festivals such as Hell Fest, Download, Wacken, Soundwave, etc, but that’s just a stupid dream. We love playing wherever people want to hear/see us, and as this is not our full time job, we have fun everywhere we go so we are generally open to new experiences.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Another dream… Dimebag Darrell! As that is impossible, we would love to feature so many artists from so many bands, that the list would be endless. Let’s say that the list would range from Meshuggah to Attila.

9. Whom not?

I really don’t think there’s anyone we wouldn’t feature. We have a very big sense of humour so any artist that would seem totally opposite to what we do, could just be the perfect laugh! The only reason why we wouldn’t collaborate with a musician it’s for personal reasons.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. I gave my first show when I was 16 (I played drums in a punk band) and have been giving concerts ever since and I always did ok. It’s true that a couple of beers always help but the best advice I could give and what I think that really works is simply believing in yourself. Every time I go out on stage I change into a different person, no shyness, very forward and trying to give a good show, entertain people. Simply think… if you give 100%, people will see it and like it no matter what, but, if you are shy, people will see it too and will pity you. What do you prefer?

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Definitely Pantera, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Despised Icon, Meshuggah, early Sepultura, Chimaira, Dimmu Borgir, Brujeria, and many other bands. They have all made me want to play music and have influenced the way I play. I never received a guitar lesson so all I know is from playing a lot and learning how to play these bands music. Do they have and influence on the music I write? I guess they do, yes, but I know so little about guitar that I’m never able to copy any specific style, I can only play and write whatever comes out.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I’m sorry but nothing special, the usual, guitar pics, photographs, etc… We have pretty normal fans.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are great! Thanks to them we’ve had a very fast growth (under Spanish standards) in a very short period of time. They keep supporting us and coming to shows, over and over again, If it wasn’t for our fans we would have second thoughts about future plans. I’ve been playing in bands for 16 years and with Hummano I really feel that people like it and want more and they create such an excitement in us, the band, that pushes us to continue working and working harder.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s a great site and I love how you support all types of bands and give a chance to those bands that are trying to make their space in the scene.

15. Something to add?

We have recently posted a new song/video, called Pseudocidal, which you can link from the URL below, and we will be releasing our second album in October so please come round our Facebook page and follow us if you like what we do.
