Noli Me Tangere - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The idea came up when our guitarist was attending art class in high school. He noticed a famous painting called “Noli Me Tangere” by painter Tiziano and decided that that was the ideal name of the new born band.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?  

We play what we love so we decided to play this genre because it makes us feel free and most of all is really enjoyable and satisfying.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Andy (drums) met Flavio (bass) in England while Mattia (guitar) is Andy’s “little” bro.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Hard question. Mattia favourite bands are Haste the Day and Underoath, Andy prefers Blink 182 while Flavio For All Those Sleeping.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Every day life, different situations and feelings, particular or normal moments, literature and fiction as well.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played in Rome at “Contestaccio”, great night.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We dream to play abroad so our music can be heard all over the world

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Definitely Underoath but also would be really cool with Sum 41!

9. Whom not?  

Ehm... Man can’t think about it!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

There’s always a bit of fright before entering the stage because is a really special and important moment. Try to stay calm before the show, warm yourself with your instrument before entering the stage and be ready for the greatest night of your life. Every time you play is like your first time, you have to give it all.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Underoath, Haste the Day, Norma Jean, The Devil Wears Prada but also pop, punk, emo and electronic music. We listen to everything.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

A photo... It’s strange because it makes you feel so important which is something that doesn’t happen often!

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They’re all amazing and support us in every way possible so thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s really cool and helpful because there are so many bands out there that are covered and thanks to you they can show their new music. Keep up the good work!
