Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore band  Spill Your Guts from China, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It just kind of came out like that. We didn’t try too hard to think of something cool or catchy, the name just happened. We were walking down the street and I was explaining the expression, ‘ Spill Your Guts ‘ and what it meant – speak your mind, tell someone what you really think, and how local Chinese kids never spill their guts. And then BAM, we had a name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

There was absolutely no hardcore/punk scene in Shanghai when we started (which is also one of the reasos why we’ve started this band) and hardcore seemed be the only genre that could embrace all of our band member’s different tastes in music. It lets us play fast, slow, technical at times but still have a good time and party hard.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all came to Shanghai from different countries in different parts of the world. We didn’t know each other before moving here. The scene is small, so go to a few shows and you’ve likely met everyone in the city that cares about live music. Being 5 white dudes made it easy to connect, and the rest is history.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Dima, vocals – Distemper, Champion, Black Dahlia Murder

Martin, guitar – Darkthrone, Skeletonwitch, Black Dahlia Murder

Chris, guitar – Spiderbait, The Meanies, Napalm Death

Adam, bass – The Bronx, Young Widows, Doomriders

Tyler, drums – Every Time I Die, All Pigs Must Die, Kvelertak

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Drinking beer and hanging out with our friends. We’re not in this for fame or fortune, all we want to do is have a good time and play some fun shows. The bigger the party, the better for us. As long as everyone has a good time we’re on board!

6. Where was your last gig?

We just finished a tiny South East Asia tour, playing Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore. It was pretty awesome – we made a ton of new friends and played 3 wicked shows. For us it’s easy to get there from China, so we just made a weekend trip out of it.

7. Where would you like to act?

Everyone keeps saying that Indonesia has the biggest and the sickest hardcore scene in SE Asia, so that’s in our plans now along with a Japan and Russia tour. We’re open to playing anywhere that is willing to have us!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

As long as the bands are in good spirits, we’re happy to play with anyone. Of course we all have our personal favorites, but I think one we could all agree on would be Kvelertak – our style matches theirs in some ways and they always seem to be having fun.

9. Whom not?

Most of the ‘new school’ downbeat bands probably wouldn’t get into our music, so it might not be as fun. No bands in particular actually.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Our drummer Tyler awlays barfs before we play. He claims it’s nerves, but even after years of performing he still does it every time. Pussy. Just get on stage and rock the fuck out – nothing else matters. Get off the stage and sing/play in the crowd – that’s the best thing you can do.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Kvelertak, Shai Hulud, Betrayed, Have Heart, Gorilla Biscuits, The Black Dahlia Murder, Leftover Crack, Trash Talk, Death Before Dishonor, Skeletonwitch, No Turning Back, Every Time I Die, The Bronx, Guns Up, Comeback Kid, Polar Bear Club. Basically, all the bands we individually like. This way it keeps our writing process interesting and everyone is open to trying something new.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

In China kids always ask us to sign random stuff, so sometimes that can be pretty weird, especially considering we’re not famous or anything. Bags, hats, t-shirts, that type of thing. This one time we invited a guy on stage to have a drink with us – and he asked to drink from our bottle of Jameson. He then proceeded to chug the whole thing and smash the bottle in the crowd. Awesome.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They’re what urge us to keep playing. There’s nothing better than seeing people watching you play and just absolutely losing it. Whether it’s a stage dive, circle pit, slam dance, mosh pot – as long ad they’re freaking out in their own individual way then it’s totally worth it.

14. What do you think of our site?

The site is actually one of the best looking music sites out there. Not only that, we really dig the diversity of bands that you’re into – anything core related and it’s worth talking about. Super sweet attitude. Plus, the interviews are always on a nice personal level, we dig that!

15. Something to add?

If you’re even in the PRC then get in touch and we’ll take you out to party!
