Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Progressive/Hardcore/Metal band  Suasion from Belgium, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

In fact, as we were running out of ideas, we decided to use what's called an online random word generator. It gives you the possibility to generate a random word after selecting a category. We went for the “obscure” category and waited until a cool word popped out. Suasion is really cool, can't believe no rock band has thought of it before.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Everyone in the band used to play in different bands and several genres but we decided to mix everyone's musical preferences. We wrote some hardcore riffs for Nicola, heavy breakdowns and melodic choruses for Julien and Nicolas and a  bit of djent for Yannick.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Not exactly. Julien (bass), Nicolas and Nicola (guitars) used to play in a band together called A descent In Graves. We met Yannick online quite a while ago before starting the band, by watching him jamming on YouTube. Then Yannick introduced us to our sound engineer (Sébastien) who brought us Chris, his brother, our singer.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Chris : Architects

Julien : Architects

Nicolas : August Burns Red

Yannick : Animals As Leaders

Nicola : Terror

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

There are a lot of band that inspire us. Our music is more of a huge mix of what we've been listening to since our early beginnings. We get influenced by modern progressive bands, but we keep in mind some early innovative songwriting techniques. We try to create ours too.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last concert took place 11th July at the Miner Fest in Genk. We opened the main stage for the three-day festival which featured big bands such as Stick To Your Guns, Being As An Ocean, Hundredth and many more. Unfortunately, there were 5 cancellations the day we played, including the headliner Monuments. However, a lot of people came to watch us despite the early hour and it was a total success at the merch table.

7. Where would you like to act?

Our dream would be to tour The Vans Warped Tour ! But we'd be glad if we could at least tour Europe to begin with and then maybe fly away to the US.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Sam Carter (Architects), Chadwick (Hundredth) and Chester Bennington (Linkin Park).

9. Whom not?

Can't think of one right now.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone did at the beginning. But the more you play, the more you'll get rid of it. There is no secret : try play a lot to get confidence, and don't hesitate to force yourself watching every single person in the audience. This will give you thrills. If you have stage fright, focus on your instrument at first, and try to hide the fact that you have it. You'll be uncomfortable the 10 first shows, but after that it'll be a piece of cake.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

–The Devil Wears Prada –August Burns Red –Architects –Bring Me The Horizon –I The Breather.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Once, a fan painted our band name all over his face and asked our guitarist Nicola to send him a signed dirty pant of his.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We both like when they surprise us and when they give us feedback on Facebook and at our shows. They give us plenty. Some of them hesitate wether they should come and speak to us, but they should. We like the fact that they come from all over the world and it's a true pleasure to share our music with them.

14. What do you think of our site?

From a webdesigner's point of view : well done !

15. Something to add?

If you enjoyed our EP, come to our shows, you may enjoy us even more ! Don’t hesitate to come and speak with us.
