The Dirty South - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore/Metal band  The Dirty South from UK, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Actually it was our old vocalist that came up with it. To us it represents the area we're from and it's rich industrial heritage but also the small-minded attitudes of a lot of the people that live here.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We try not to pigeonhole ourselves too much into one genre but we've always liked the heavier side of things.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yes, most of us met at school but we met Mike at work.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Murphy (Vocals) - Neck Deep

CC (Drums) - Dream Theater

Dan (Guitar) - Parkway Drive

Owain (Bass) - August Burns Red

Mike (Guitar) - Bury Tomorrow

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Life and things that go on day to day, using past experiences to create a positive vibe.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We played last night at Static in Swansea, South Wales supporting Our Hollow Our Home.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We'd love to play on Warped Tour in America or Soundwave in Australia. Also we'd really like to play festivals like NASS because they appeal to a variety of genres.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

I think we'd all love to support Parkway Drive but Slipknot and Metallica are definitely up there.

9. Whom not?  

No-one really, a show's a show, any hole's a goal.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Murphy used to throw up before shows but not so much anymore.  We'd probably just tell people to just go out there and have fun with your mates and try to forget the pressure.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Parkway Drive, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slipknot, Funeral For A Friend, Brand New, BMTH, Killswitch Engage.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

A ride to the show.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We love them both equally.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We love it man, can't get enough of that wonderful Duff!

15. Something to add?  

Yeah we're heading out on tour around the UK with our buddies in Pillars next month (August), here are the dates:
