The Parallel - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Progressive Metal/Hardcore/core band The Parallel from Canada, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We used to be a different band before, and we were going to name one of our songs "The Parallel" but the name ended up sticking so we decided to name our band The Parallel!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

I think all of us started getting into this genre of music back in highschool, I personally just related to a lot of the bands i listened to and that made me want to peruse making music in this genre

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well our guitarist and drummer are brothers, so they did. But a few of us were in different bands before we decided to form The Parallel.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Collectively we like, Counterparts, The Story So Far, Blink 182, Northlane, Brand New, Architects, And Stray From The Path.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We write our music based on whats real to us. We use our music as an output.

6. Where was your last gig?

Haha we haven't played a show as The Parallel yet, but we're excited

7. Where would you like to act?

I personally would love to play somewhere over seas someday, but thats a long way away haha.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Structures or Northlane for sure

9. Whom not?

Haha, hard question to answer, probably the backstreet boys or something, because they actually would make us look awful.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?  Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Haha im sure we all have to some degree at one point in our lives. And for as far as beating it goes, I think you just gotta ride it out and just do the best you can, you're gonna have a great time.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I think the bands who have inspired us the most would be Structures, They really stepped up the genre and are definitly our biggest influence!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

There was this guy before we had released anything who told us he knew some big time record producer, and if we gave him all of our social security information he could fly us out to South Carolina to record in his uncles studio. We had to pass that up for obvious reasons haha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love anyone who supports us and our music!

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think your site is great place for small bands to get some publicity to a solid audience
