As You Fall - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band As You Fall from Australia, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

It was planned, It's kind of hard to explain. It sort of relates to depression, like.. When you fall into depression and you can't really do anything. Kind of like that. (Sorry if I didn't explain it well)

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Well just to clarify, We don't label ourself as any particular genre. We just play heavy stuff that if we like, we play.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

No we didn't. After I, (Keeghan) started the band we had a falling out of all different guitarists. I heard of Ryan through someone and I added him and talked about being in a band, he was interested instantly. After that, he told me about Nicholas, which is the drummer. Ryan linked me to one of his covers and I loved it from the first note. After I watched it I inboxed him straight away. He was also interested right away. We had two guitarists named Danny and Joey, Joey did nothing to help the band so we were forced to kick him and look for a new guitarist. That's when we found Thomas. I wrote a status on Facebook asking if anyone knew a guitarist and this girl named Taylor messaged me telling me that her boyfriend was a great guitar player and was interested. So then came Thomas. Right after we got him in the band, Danny messaged the band chat out of nowhere and told us he had to leave the band because he didn't like the genre of music we were playing. Which was weird because why would he even join in the first place then quit months and months after. So right after that happened, Thomas messaged me personally telling me his best friend Harry played guitar and was really good at it. Then he sent me a link to a YouTube video of Harry covering a song. And it was a really good cover so I messaged him about being in the band and that's how he got in the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Ryan: Slipknot, Korn

Thomas: Bullet For My Valentine, AC/DC, Black Veil Brides, Parkway Drive

Keeghan: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Suicide Silence, The Amity Affliction, Black Tongue

Harry: Primus, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot

Nicholas: A Day To Remember, Black Tongue, The Amity Affliction

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Either other bands that we listen to, or moods.

6. Where was your last gig?  

The Underground.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Well we're a really small band still, so we don't have many options, we just go on whatever show we can, so like Fowlers, Underground, Cavern, Black Market. But if you're talking about if we get WAY bigger, Entertainment Centre or Theberton Theatre. Or if we ever get the chance Soundwave would be cool.

9. Whom not?  

We wouldn't not play with anyone.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Not stage fright, but nerves leading up to the show. There's nothing really you can do about nerves. In my opinion anyway. And none of us suffer from stage fright, all our fears and thoughts go away the second we start playing our music.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

The bands that we mentioned in our favourites have all inspired us in different ways. Also some that we haven't mentioned.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

We don't have any fans that we know of yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We don't have any fans that we know of yet.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We think it's good. We like it a lot because you support a lot of bands from all over the world, even bands like us that aren't that big.
