Bless The Child - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Death Metal/Deathcore band Bless The Child from USA, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The name came from a movie called "Bless The Child" about the birth of the antichrist. It was a pretty memorable name with some dark undertones so it just kind of stuck.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
I think like most people, we just wanted to play fast, heavy music that makes people want to move. There's nothing more rewarding for us than seeing the crowd react to our music. Whether people are headbanging or moshing, if our we make people want to get up and have some fun, it makes us happy.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Steve and Derek knew each other prior to Bless The Child. The rest of us came from other bands. We actually found Jordan on Craigslist.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Mark - Journey
Jordan - Veil Of Maya
Steve - Darkest Hour
Jonsey - Cattle Decapitation
Derek - Ted Nugent
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Mostly just other music. We listen to a lot of different genres, so whenever something creates that spark, we start writing.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last show was The Summer Slaughter Fest in Cleveland, OH with Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, Thy Art Is Murder, Within The Ruins and a bunch of other great bands.
7. Where would you like to act?
We want to play anywhere people want to see us. Europe would be pretty rad though.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We always have fun playing with new bands. We've made a lot of friends over the years playing with awesome bands that also happen to be really awesome dudes.
9. Whom not?
There aren't any bands we don't want to play with. A lot of our best shows have been with bands that aren't similar to us at all, so we like to play with all kinds of bands.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Yeah I'm sure we all get nervous sometimes before we go on. It really depends on the show and how the crowd is. Sometimes the pressure gets to you a little bit, but it all goes away a song or two into the set.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We take a lot of inspiration from The Black Dahlia Murder and Whitechapel, but there are countless bands that impact our sound and writing style.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
One time someone asked our Mark for one of his sticks so they could have Derek sign it.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are amazing! Without them we would have no reason to keep doing this. Anyone that comes to a show to see us or buys a cd or a t shirt, it truly means everything to us. There is nothing cooler than someone we've never met loving our music.
14. What do you think of our site?
It's awesome. It's cool to see a site dedicated to the music and featuring up and coming bands in the genre.
15. Something to add?
Pick up our new album "Walls" on iTunes or FerociousRecords.com and like us on Facebook to stay up to date with us and our show schedule. Stay Rad!
Their new album slays!
