Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metal/Deathcore band The Stratagem from Australia, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was one of the track names we originally had from the EP so we just used that.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

For the heavies.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band had 2 members that knew each other but now no one knew each other before the band.

4. Each band member’s favorite band?

We all take influences from Whitechapel, Between the Buried and Me, Rings of Saturn and multiple local bands from QLD and the rest of Australia.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The most influential song writers would probably Queen or Between the Buried and Me.. Although we don't write like they do / did, there is a lot to be learned from these bands.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was last night at rock city studios in Upper Coomera QLD.

7. Where would you like to act?

Ideally? In Brisbane at HiFi bar or Tivolli... Entertainment centre would be insane but Slipknot would have trouble filling that venue.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would like to tour with Rings of Saturn, Black Tongue or Whitechapel.. Any nameable band really.

9. Whom not?

We would not like to tour with 5 seconds of summer. We would go to jail for attempted murder and aggravated assault.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Stage fright? Not really.. Sometimes you feel like you're too exhausted to play but 3 minutes in everything feels right.. Tips for beginners would just be to give it a go I guess.. And don't be a fuckwit to anyone.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Inspired the most by Thy Art Is Murder, watched those guys start from nothing to now be signed to NB and running constant US/EU tours.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

An empty water bottle.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They rule, they go harder in the pit than anyone.. Our fans are very loyal and we respect them.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is great, thank you for promoting small bands and giving us the chance to have our story heard.

15. Something to add?

If you're reading this and you're in the music scene for heavy / core style bands - stop being a bitch about everything. Every single person is in bands these days, every single person at shows is in bands. Which brings the issue of 'Why would you want us to succeed?'. We're just taking up space on the internet where your band could be... I we would all just fucking respect each other and build back the scene to the hardcore brotherhood that it used to be, you might hear more bands that don't sound like fucking gay electro pop bullshit on the radio and hear some actual bands.  Oh, and whenever you go to a show, take at least $20 to buy someones shit. Support your bands or they won't be around for much longer.
