Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Vessels For A Dream from Puerto Rico, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I guess we can say that it was planned since the name has a meaning. We as people are "vessels" and "dream" are goals or... dreams, so basically the name refers to people with goals.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I always liked Metalcore and most of the bands that I like are from that genre. I (Kelvin Rodriguez - Vocals) came to Vessels For A Dream by Roberto Colon (He left the band for personal matters) cause he heard me sing in another band that I had at the time and he liked my vocals so he basically asked me to audition for the band. At first I wasn't feeling it because Roberto wanted the lyrics to be "religious" and I wasn't into that so I turned down the offer. I always kept an eye out for the band and I even went to some rehearsals as a friend/spectator. Roberto left the band and told me that the band broke up and the other guitarist (Alberic Nieves - Lead guitar) wanted to go on with the band so I asked, who was a bassist of my other band at the time, (Eric Camacho - Rhythm guitar) if he was interested on being part of the band and he said "Let's give it a try" so I started writing lyrics we started making music and here we are.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Most of us did or at least we saw/talked each other at local shows and through Facebook.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Adam Sotomayor (Bassist) - Machine Head

Kelvin "Gato" Rodriguez (Vocals) - Unearth

Eric Camacho (Rhythm guitar) - Wintersun

Bryan Rios (Drums) - Whitin The Ruins

Alberic Nieves (Lead guitar) - The Human Abstract

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Mostly me, life, other artist, etc...

6. Where was your last gig?

Hell Bells at Santurce Puerto Rico

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to act in Warped Tour or any fest were we can share stage with a lot of great bands.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Erra, Volumes, In Hearts Wake, Unearth, Killswitch Engage, Within The Ruins, No Bragging Rights and a lot more.

9. Whom not?

I think something far out from our genre for example, I wouldn’t imagine me playing with a country band.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I was always attracted to the stage but I'm pretty sure that at some point we all have it. It's all about having confidence on yourself if you know you're good and if you believe in yourself it will be easy.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Killswitch Engage and Unearth.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Playing at someone's birthday, It was a little boy and where we live our genre (Anything that has screams in it) is not that much appreciated.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We have loyal fans that help us spread our music and always attend to our shows like Rafy Futuristico and Eddy Velez they have been there since day one with us and we really appreciate any help we can get from our fans, after all, all of this is for them.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think that you guys are sharing an awesome job by helping the bands get noticed and spreading their talents throughout you sites, keep up the good work and keep us posted of anything!

15. Something to add?

Besides what I already said of your work thanks a lot from Vessels For A Dream for this opportunity you guys have provided us to get a chance to expose the band to other people, we will share your site to so that your message gets to our fans and they can learn about your services and other bands around the world and thanks a lot for this opportunity!
