Above Mountain - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Hardcore band Above Mountains from United Kingdom, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well, mountains is the highest post you can be, and we have aimed our sights over it. we didn't plan it, it was just like a lightbulb idea really.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Erm, because its a genre which you can express yourself and not have to stay on one theme for lyrics really, plus we have been listening to this genre for a long time, and always found it the most passionate.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all met at uni, and had the same interests and started hanging out with each other. myself, Tom (vocalist) and Dando (drummer) were hugely into the genre, so we wanted to form something, to a dead scene down here (Cornwall).

4. Each band member favourite band?

Dando (Drums): The Ghost Inside

Tom (Vocals): The Acacia Strain, Heart In Hand, Counterparts.

Sam (Guitar): Architects

Connor (Guitar): While She Sleeps, Parkway Drive

Joe (Bass): Parkway Drive

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life, Girls, Mates.

6. Where was your last gig?

Bristol, UK.

7. Where would you like to act?

Definatly mainland Europe, and America/ Canada.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Counterparts, Heart In Hand, Hundredth, Ghost inside. Shields.

9. Whom not?

Escape the fate, Falling in reverse, and falling in reverse, they're absolutely shit!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No, we all have our own ways of psyching ourselves up before a show!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Counterparts, Heart In Hand.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't really been asked any weird questions, but i got my face licked once though, after a really sweaty gig, that was weird! (Tom).

13. What do you think of your fans?

Love them! they're amazing!
