AKHVAN - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Trashcore band AKHVAN from Spain, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We just made a small brainstorming just thinking that we didn't want an empty name, and so the name Akhvan is for us more than a band name, it's an idea, a demon, there are awesome stories behind it, and represents our way of making music.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

There are many colours inside Akhvan, each member likes different genres but we've always had a common idea, we want to make people bang their heads as possesed.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Not at all. Some of us were friends before the band started, but the best thing is that two years after we are a big family, we are very good friends.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Gaizka - Pantera

Pintxo  - Slayer

Gorka - Breach

Aitor - Korn

Igor - Su Ta Gar

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Akhvan demon makes us write demonic lyrics! We use common life, society, politics, human feelings, many things.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Past Saturday we've been playing with Knives and Rhesus at Erandio, Bizkaia. It was a great gig sharing an small stage with two great bands.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Sooo many places all around the world... It would be great playing in Dallas (Texas), Moscow, Japan... fests like Wacken, wherever we can share music and beer is a perfect place to play.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be awesome opening a gig for an hipothetic Pantera reunion... or maybe Judas Priest, yeaah!!!

9. Whom not?  

We would share stage with almost everybody, but we would avoid playing with bands that supports fascism as an example

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

As you make gigs it becomes more and more comfortable so the only way of overcoming stage fright is playing live as much as you can. You must forget about yourself on stage. Once you dissapear into the music you are playing, the body relaxes, and it flows.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

As a band we are inspired by bands like Pantera, Lamb of god, Hatebreed, but each member has it's own preferences

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

We've seen fans upset with our guitar player because he wasn't showing his penis at the end of the show. This is weird.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

We have incredible unconditional fans and the akhvan comunity is slowly getting bigger so we just can say that we are so proud of them

14. What do you think of our site? 

It's good to know there's a place for underground music, there's a lot of work behind this blog and we are so greatful being part of it
