Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band All Messed Up from France, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

All Messed Up refers to our state of mind. We all do crazy things so it perfectly matches to what we are.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

After having some pop punk (kind of easycore) songs and after some lineup changes, we decided to become more violent by playing in lower tuning. Our influences have evolved as we discovered more hardcore melo/metalcore bands.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Joe and Vins created the band in 2009. They had a bassist and a guitarist but they decided to quit. I (Nico) met Joe at a show in 2011 and told him that I was a bassist. They were looking for a new lineup so they decided to hire me. Then, we tried several guitarists but no one could match to our expectations. In 2012, I became guitarist, and Kevin (who was a singer in my old band) arrived as a bassist. A few months later Raph joined the band as a guitarist. The official lineup is here since 2012 but I first met Raph in March 2013 because I spent a year in China.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Joe: For The Fallen Dreams

Vincent: Volumes

Nicolas: Parkway Drive

Kevin: Texas In July

Raph: The Devil Wears Prada

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It depends of the mood for the lyrics. Our EP “Through Hatred” talks about betrayal and abandon. You can see it in our video clip “Open Letter To A Coward”. Joe and I are the only one writing lyrics. We talk about our personal experiences. We don’t especially try to spread a message or something; we just write what comes to our minds.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was in Saintes, little town near our hometown, in a festival called Brutal Night Fever. We shared the stage with the Czech band Skywalker.

7. Where would you like to act?

For the moment we would like to go to different countries such as Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany… We never played abroad.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Those who want us to feature with them.

9. Whom not?

Not some Scandinavian satanic black metal. It won’t match with us.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think everyone suffered from stage fright. Personally I feel more pressure than fright. I don’t think there is a tip to avoid that, this is human. Everyone knows this moment right before getting on stage, when your hands are getting moist and your muscles contracted. Just be confident, practice a lot in rehearsals and once you get on stage, you fright is gone and you start having fun! Music is a passion, after all!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

A Day To Remember, The Ghost Inside, The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Like Moths To Flames,  For The Fallen Dreams, For Today, Fit For A King, In Hearts Wake, The Devil Wears Prada, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Thy Art Is Murder, I Killed The Prom Queen and many others…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I guess nothing for the moment. Or maybe we don’t think it’s weird…

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love every single one of them! Thanks for your support! We wouldn’t be here without you! Keep coming to the shows, sharing our music and buying our merchandizing!

14. What do you think of our site?

Complete, helpful and we can discover a lot of other bands.

15. Something to add?

Breathing The Core is aptly named when we see the amount of bands you’ve interviewed! Keep doing that and thank you for your attention! Hope to see you one day.  Don’t forget to like our Facebook page, follow us on YouTube (allmessedupband), Twitter and Instagram (@amuband) And remember: YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!
