Bronson A.D - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Trash Metal/Hardcore band Bronson A.D from Germany, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Mucho: I liked the idea of giving the band a name of a man or a character that is known for something that we could identify with or something the band stands for. First I had that idea when I heard of the band BALBOA.  Charles Bronson mostly played characters, which stand their ground, fight for their rights with all they have….and he is a real cool motherfucker.  The “A.D.” was Hendriks idea. It’s because there are some other bands that are called  Bronson, too, but it has an important meaning for us: it stands for After Death! All our  old bands, from each of us, broke up…and Bronson is what happened After Death.

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

Mucho: I am into HC for more than 20 years.  Bonzo: I like the energy while listening and playing that music! And it’s an challenge for me, especially the speed. I only used to play in Doom/Stoner-bands  before, that’s my background.  Hendrik : I just love this music.  Marc: I like the HC attitude - the way of life.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Bonzo: Mucho and I have known each other from drinking beer together and hanging out in our local skate park.  Mucho: Hendrik and I have met when Hendriks old band was looking for a new singer.  Hendrik: Marc and I have been friends for a long time already

4. Each band member favourite band?

Bonzo: There are a lot! High on Fire, Black Sabbath

Marc: Slipknot, Eluveitie  Mucho: That’s not easy, but to name one: Madball

Hendrik: In HC? Rykers, but in general Iron Maiden, Judas Priest

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Hendrik: Everyday life and the feelings you get from it…doesn’t matter if I write some chords first or Mucho comes with some new lyrics and I try to write a song around it.

6. Where was your last gig?

Mucho: Skatefest Aftershow-Party in an Irish Pub in Limburg. It’s a really cool thing. a local skate crew organizes a skate contest there every year plus an Aftershow-Party. I have played there with my old band the last years already.

7. Where would you like to act?

Bonzo: Everywhere the people like to watch our show and listen to what we have to say.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Hendrik: Kid D and Rykers  Marc: And Leif from Dew-Scented

9. Whom not?

Mucho: Everyone who wants money for a feature. And people who smell like fish!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Bonzo: Fright? Never!  Marc: Just a little bit nervous. But if this feeling ended, it wouldn't be the right thing to go on stage anymore.

Hendrik: Drink a beer to calm down.

Mucho: Maybe smoke a blunt...but you don’t have to. No! just focus on the fact: that the people in front of the stage want the same thing as you. A damn good party with brothers and sisters. They are only hardcore-fans. Just like you!

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Hendrik: Rykers, Merauder, Exhorder, old Sepultura

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Bonzo: Do you have any other fans?

13. What do you think of your fans?

Hendrik: Crazy motherfuckers!  Mucho: Yeah it’s the B.A.D. M.F.C.! The BRONSON A.D. Motherfuckers Club! haha

14. What do you think of our site?

Mucho: It’s cool. Sites like that keep the scene alive and connect the scene on an international level.
