Full The Face - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Full The Face from Brazil, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Well it's kinda weird, cause we always used puns in our conversations, so we translated everything literally all the time from portuguese to english. Then once we said like "Vamos encher a cara" (wich means something like "let's get shitfaced"), and we literally translated to "let's full the face"!
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Because that's all we love to listen since we were kids. And after going to so many great punk rock shows, it influenced us even more.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Actually, I (João, bass player) am the only original member, cause the other guys wanted to leave to play different music. Then I met Cristopher (vocals) at my job and he really liked our music, so we started again. He called Marlos (guitar), cause they played in another band, then I called Ricardo (drummer), that I met online, and Lucas (guitar), that played in a Bad Religion cover band.
4. Each band member favourite band?
João - Millencolin/No Use For a Name
Cristopher - Rise Against/Strung Out Ricardo - No Fun At All
Marlos - Pantera
Lucas - The Wonder Years
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Well, most of our songs are about relationships, so we try to express exactly how we feel when we are with someone we like, or when something goes wrong.
6. Where was your last gig?
It was at TNT Bar, a smal bar in our hometown, Curitiba.
7. Where would you like to act?
Anywhere in Usa, Canada or Europe.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
There are so many great bands, but it would be an honour to play with Millencolin.
9. Whom not?
Justin Bieber.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Well, sometimes we're a bit nervous, but nothing that impact our performance. To the beginners, just think that it doesn't matter if your embarrassed about what others may think, you're just giving your best. But also try to interact to the crowd, cause it may cheer them up.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bad Religion, No Use For a Name, Millencolin, Belvedere, Much The Same, Strung Out, Pulley, Lagwagon...
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Well, I think it never happened before! haha
13. What do you think of your fans?
They're great! We consider all of them like friends.
14. What do you think of our site?
That's a great initiative, the underground scene needs more people like you, committed to keep these kind of bands alive.
15. Something to add?
We just want to thank you for the opportunity, and invite everyone who still doesn't know our music to follow us on Facebook and listen to our EP.
